"Paul, I told you I have to work today," Caylee mumbled into the phone, squished between her face and shoulder.

"Come on, Cay. I know how much you love the beach sunsets and you've been super stressed lately," he pleaded.

She bit her lip to stop from smiling, "Fine. But you have to wait until my shift is over."

"Deal! No taksey backsies." She could practically hear him grinning through the phone.

"Yeah yeah you big baby. I'll see you soon."

Ending the phone call, she spun around a couple times in her chair. She loved the bookstore, she truly did. Surrounded by books and rarely having to interact with anyone since few people ever came in, it basically a dream come true for a girl like her.

The bell on the door chimed, signaling her first customer of the day. The girl was an average height, translucent like skin and longish brown hair. She had a lost look on her face and stumbled over the leg of a chair on her way to Caylee's desk.

"H-hi. I was wondering if you had any books on Quileute legends?" She asked quietly. It made Caylee wonder if that's how she came across to other people besides Paul and Gran; awkward and reserved.

"I don't think so but you can check that section there," Caylee pointed to a row off to the side and the girl nodded and walked in that direction. About ten minutes late she came back, hands empty with no book. "If you give me a second I can check the back."

Having no luck she came out and shook her head, watching the girl sigh in defeat.

"I'm Bella by the way," she smiled awkwardly.

"Caylee. I hope you end up finding what you're looking for."

Bella cleared her throat, "Is it okay if I get your number or something? In case you end up getting one in."

Caylee nodded nervously, unsure of how to respond. Her people skills were really lacking. Regardless, she scribbled it down, cringing at her handwriting. What happened next was unexpected.

Neither of them expected for Bella to stumble over absolutely nothing. To stabilize herself, she reached out and grabbed Caylee's wrist instead of the paper that was being held out, causing Caylee to gasp and step back - but it was already too late.

In a room full of mirrors I'm writhing in pain. I hear a sickening crack in my leg and I screech. My leg is bent in an awkward angle and I can feel blood coming out of random cuts. A man with blonde hair is in my face, screaming at me to tell Edward something. He's suddenly ripped away from me and I can hear thrashing and growling going on, but the pain in my body isn't letting me concentrate. A boy tries to pick me up but is thrown down and I can feel glass being embedded into my body and I pull a large shard out of my leg, blood gushing out of it.

It's not long before I see the man again, a sinister look in his eyes as he reaches for my wrist and bites it, releasing some kind of fire into my veins. The pain is indescribable. Screaming and grunting as I try to gasp for some sort of air but failing. The fire burning in my veins is terrible. Spreading all over my body. I don't know much of what's happening next but the boy I recognize that was trying to save me earlier now has his mouth wrapped on the bite mark, as if pulling the fire out.

Slowly I feel myself drifting, spiraling away from consciousness and away from everything else. I can't hear anything anymore, but the fire is gone. I'm feeling peaceful, light. Almost floating it seems. And then, it's black.

Caylee was pulled out of her daze, gasping loudly and struggling to hear any background noise. She shook head, willing what she just saw to be false, in disbelief that the girl in front of her was gonna die what she could only assume to be soon.

"Caylee! I'm so sorry, are you okay? I- I didn't mean to. I'll just go, I'm sorry. Thanks for the help." Bella retreated, rushing her way towards the door.

"Wait, Bella, don't go there. Please listen, it doesn't make sense now but please don't go to the room with all the mirrors. Just don't." She struggled to find words and watched as Bella gave her a confused and scared glance before rushing out the door.
