3. Our Acidic Incident!

"Are we just too innocent for this toxic world?" Kabir asked the trio suddenly. They were having dinner tonight at Alia's home to spend some quality time with each other. But none of them was talking, not even eating food as they were too lost in darkness. 

"Sometimes I also think that. We're just too naive for this world, or we can say that the surrounding people are too clever to be true." Varun replied while having a spoon full of pasta.  

"Don't talk so much about that toxins, otherwise someone will get an idea to splash acid on an innocent girl's face." Alia sighed. 

"Of course! This also happened with Rishita, right? We couldn't save her but at least Navya" Miami said while traveling through the lanes of that horrific incident. 

That horrible day...

All were shocked when Miami, the stranger girl identified them as Secret Amigos. 

"Who said that? And who are you?" Varun asked. 

"Well, I am Miami Oberoi," she replied, and they were stunned as it was the same girl whose name was mentioned there. 

"Oh! Nice to meet you! New third-year admission?" Kabir asked calmly. 

"Yes. Well, Kabir, it was nice meeting you too." Miami replied. 

"But, we aren't Secret Amigos. Who told you that?" Alia asked. 

"This denial doesn't suit the head of Secret Amigos, Ms. Alia Mitra," Miami smirked and all were stunned. 

They didn't carry on this conversation and moved ahead without leaving the convo so incomplete. All were just puzzled that how that new girl Miami knew much about Secret Amigos. 

A week went on and all of them were being those same people just trying to process the case. 

"Hey, Secret Amigos! Can I join you for this case please?" Miami asked. All were stunned and Miami provided a justification. 

"Well, you know that I also am a part of this case as you might have got that piece of paper. So, I can help you a lot and consider this or not, I can be a big help and this is regarding the life of a girl." 

"I understand. Kabir and Varun, it's of no use to hide our identity from Miami. Miami, we don't know how you got to know about this, but if you know then please keep this group a secret." Alia smiled. 

And the time of the discussion and conclusion came,

"Rishita Yadav, was this the girl who faced the acid splash attack?" Kabir asked teary-eyed. 

"Yes, Kabir," Miami confirmed with a pool of tears on her face. 

"And this case is quite famous in the city. But none could figure out the culprit ever." Varun said feeling disgusted by such kinds of people who do this to a girl. 

"She just gave an interview that she was attacked by a college-going boy and this incident is of nearly 2 months ago. How can people be so heartless? Just think if the girl would be their sister or someone close?" Alia had moistened eyes. Varun took her in an embrace to comfort her. 

"And the person who did so is of this college only. But Rishita is of some other college. And so the girl Navya." Miami said. 

"The person who did so should be Abhishek, but I doubt. He is a spoilt rich brat, but he respects girls. The culprit is of our college, that's totally confirmed." Kabir said.
