Jin Ha pov:

No matter how much I wished for what I had heard to be untrue, the scene in front of me did not change. Having apparated from Hogwarts to in front of my house, leaving Draco behind, I saw a crowd of people including detectives and reporters bustling in and around. I recognized one of the detectives – my uncle, my father's younger brother who appeared incredibly distressed as he spoke to his colleague.

Anger bubbled fiercely in the pit of my stomach before I stormed past the barricade the detectives had set up. Their hollering for me to stop alerted my uncle and he was quick to rush to my side and stall me from entering the house.

"Jin Ha," he said, his voice hoarse, "I think it's better if you don't go inside."

"What happened?" I asked sharply without taking my eyes off the ajar front door.

"We're still trying to figure out the actual cause. It's strange that-"

"What have you found out until now?" This time, my voice was commanding.

Samchon was momentarily surprised but answered, "We find it as nothing more than a heart arrest, though it seems that your mother was in some distress before it happened. It's odd that they both just had a heart arrest at such a young age when they're completely healthy! It doesn't make sense!"

[a/n: samchon is uncle in Korean]

My already clenched fists tightened, sending painful pricks in my palms. Saying not another word to samchon, I strode into the house but came across nothing but a mess with the outline of two bodies – one in the living and another in the dining.

"Ma'am, you are not allowed in here!" an officer hollered, taking a hold on my shoulder. I shoved his hand off rather violently, surprising him and continued to look around what was left of our once beautiful home. The officer was quick to grab my shoulder again in an attempt to have me leave but he nearly flinched under the deathly glare I gave him whilst turning back a moment.

"Get your hand off me if you don't want to get hurt," I spat and he did let go. However, he didn't seem entirely ready to let me walk around the house.

"Ma'am, you have to leave. This is a crime scene and we are investigating. We cannot have any strangers-"

"They were my parents!" I bellowed, my glare getting sharper. It was a moment before I noticed that the officer had gone pale under my gaze, one that I rarely used on missions when angry at the people who were doing wrong. A deep inhale had my expression relaxing in the slightest and I turned to yet again see the mess around us.

I could nearly visualize the Death Eaters torturing Mother and Father while they held their ground, refusing to submit to the pain and intimidation and, in turn, Voldemort. There were obvious indicators of their struggle against the Death Eaters, and remnants of a battle of magic...only to end with them getting the short end of the stick.

Intense fury bubbled within me, both at Voldemort for how cruel and detestable he was and at myself for the coward I had been in the name of fighting against him from the shadows. I had done nothing until now despite vowing to help Harry in his quest to rid the world of the Dark Lord once and for all.

"Jin Ha, please, you shouldn't be seeing all this," Samchon spoke, having come to where I stood and placed a hand on my shoulder in consolation. "Come with me and let me-"

"Samchon," I interrupted, "I'm leaving you to take care of the formalities – both legal and personal. I cannot remain here but I will visit Mother and Father soon."
