So I wasn't even going to post this story.  I started writing it a while back for myself only.  I've read a lot of different genres out there, especially on here.  Werewolf genre tends to be what I was really into for a bit.  However,  a lot of the stories in that genre I found needed more.  Or at least something a little different.  Every story out there seems to be the same.  When it comes to human mates, the human female always runs away from home because of an abusive/cheating ex. Her parents are either dead or just plain terrible and abusive on their own.  The girl is broken all around and falls into the arms of a hot stranger who then immediately brings her into his world of the supernatural.  I get it.....it's just how this genre plays out.

Wellllll......this one i wanted to write a little differently. Yeah, you'll get the typical cliche scenarios here and there.  And the base is pretty much similar to others.  But I wanted to write a story that I myself would want to read.  I wanted my female human to NOT be some poor, innocent, abused virgin.  I wanted her parents to be alive. I wanted her childhood to be somewhat normal.  In a way, I wanted it to be more realistic (even though it is about werewolves, mate bonds and other supernatural things). But I wanted this "supernatural mating bond" pull to seem somewhat real.  Alana leaves her hometown because she starts to feel out of place suddenly. And doesn't know why.  I wanted her to feel things and do things that confused her but pulled her to do them, due to said force.  As, I could only assume, if it were real.....that would really happen.

I also wanted to do a little something different with the werewolves in the story. A lot of the stories I've read, they have two sides. Human and wolf. However, they all seem to have an actual wolf inside of them that has its own name, voice, personality, mind. As if these creatures basically have split personalities.  I didn't want mine to have that. I want mine to be one being. Who just so happens to also be a wolf.  Who can shift whenever they want to. Who has to struggle to keep "wolfie" type personality traits at bay.

I also wanted this story to be somewhat funny.  Being able to read into the characters minds.  And laugh at their inner thoughts and struggles.

So, I guess in a way it will be the same as other stories.  But a little different here and there.  Again, I wasn't even going to post it.  But decided....what the hey! I have a few chapters done already, but will hold off posting them so it's not all at once. That way I can also work on editing.
