"May Entrata, you are the main suspect for the murder of Professor Karen, Professor of Sun University and the wife of running for mayor Pao Avelino. I already informed you of the Miranda Doctrine when I arrested you earlier so let's start my investigation here in the Police Office. Do you have anything question?"

May was spacing out, her hair was a mess and there were blood stains everywhere on her body.

"Are you okay? Can you talk?"

"I... I'm innocent."

"Hoo... See you can talk, we've been talking to you for almost 8 hours now!" one of the police officer scolded her while pacing in front of her.

"I don't know if the the result of my examination was out but as you can see I'm traumatize."

"Tssss..."

"Okay, Stop it, Officer Lloyd, Let me handle this." Then the said Officer Lloyd rushed out of the room banging the door on us.

"I see, you're wise."

May glared to the other Officer that was left with her.

"I'm Officer Dan. I'm the police investigator on this case. You must buying some time."

"Yeah. Actually, I was waiting for you to see another evidence. You knew for yourself something is off."

The Officer nodded in agreement with her.

"You can't point it out on me with their testimonial evidence; everyone was pointing fingers on me right now. But you knew, it isn't enough: no weapon, no motive, and your supposed to be witness didn't even saw the crime."

"You should know there would be autopsy and DNA..."

"The DNA, it will lead you to many people."

"Are you saying..." May cut the investigator again.

"I'm saying one of your suppose to be witness is the real murderer. I know it would be easier to pin it all to me which you could easily do; and, I also know this would give you the promotion you've been wishing for."

"How did you know?"

"I've been listening, Officer. While I was quiet the whole time, your co-workers talked a lot; I couldn't help but listen."

The Officer smirk and quietly observe me.

"But if you pin this case to me, it's easy and it wouldn't be justice, you would be the ordinary Officer. But if you get the truth, you will be a hero, you'll be more than enough to get the promotion you deserve."

The Officer laughed and clapped his hand. "You really are good. Wise-- a very smart girl, manipulative, I think you're good enough to kill."

"No, I'm doing my best to survive. Sir, please listen. This case is no ordinary, everyone's live is on the thread here, mine for real. But I don't deserve this. I'm telling you I'm innocent!"

"Really? Every people say that. Every criminal say that."

"Yes. But not everyone gave you the evidence."

"What are you saying?"

"Sir, you should watch this." Officer Lloyd then budge-in in the room.

"It's probably on the news right now." May added with a smirk on her lips.

The Officer then rushed out of the room flustered as he his co-worker's watching the news.

"This is News 101 reporting - a body was found on Lake Truth at the Village-One. The body was found out to be Professor Eric. A professor in Sun University where another professor was found dead last evening. Investigation was on-going and we still have to find out the cause of his death. There are two professors Dead on the same night could this be a coincidence or is there a dot to be connected?"

"Sir, if the case have connection, do you really think this girl is the killer?"

The Officer then looked at May, who is looking tall but thin, pale and  slouching, sitting on the investigation room alone.

"She looks innocent but way to smart." The Investigation Officer said.

"Don't you think she's hiding something."

"I don't know, but I'm sure, she's trying to survive." The Officer took a document with him with the picture of certain person. "These  three (3) persons were pointing it all on her."

"Those three (3) persons already went home, sir. Their family took them out of here. They all are big time, sir. This girl, Lizie, she's the daughter of the running mayor Lego the opposition of the running Mayor Avelino who is the husband of Professor Karen."

Officer Dan's forehead wrinkled. "That's why she said it's no ordinary."

"Something is really off. What would you do, then?"

"I... I'm going to choose what is right. I'm going to serve justice to deserve the promotion."
