Y/n's POV

The boys went home and told me they would be ready by 8:30 am so I can go pick them up.

I drove to Ben's then to Josh's house. We warmed up our voices in the car.

We got to the rehearsal space and started warming up.

(I don't really know what happens so just work with me. Please and thank you!)

The director, choreographer, and music director came in.

"Hello I'm Jeff Calhoun and I'm the director," he said

"I'm Christopher Gattelli and I'm your choreographer," he said with excitement.

"And I'm James Dodgson your music director," he said

"Ok everyone let's go around and say your name and role, please, and thank you," Jeff said.

"Starting with our dance and fight captains," he said.

"Hi I'm Andrew, I'm your dance captain and a swing," he said excitedly

"I'm Y/n, and I'm your assistant dance captain and a swing/understudy," I said confidently.

"And I'm Kevin, and I'm your fight captain and I play Governor Roosevelt," he said.

"Now let's go to our leads and our side characters," Jeff continued.

"Ok, I'm Dan and I play Jack Kelly," he said.

"I'm Zach; I play Crutchie,"

"I'm Stephanie and I play Katherine,"

"I'm Jacob I play Davey,"

"Hi, I'm Vincent, I play Les,"

"Hey, I'm Anthony and I play Les too,"

"Hello, Steve Blanchard I play Joesph Pulitzer,"

"I'm Angela and I play Medda Larkin,"

"Hi, I'm Ben and I play Race,"

"And I'm Jeff, I play Spot Conlon,"

Everyone else introduced themselves to the cast and crew. Then Jeff gave us our scripts. They were already highlighted, the swings were not highlighted.

"Ok everyone let's start with music," Jeff said

"We are going to start at the begging so we will need Dan and Zach," James said calling them over.

"Wow this is crazy," I said to Ben, Josh, and Sky.

"I know right, these next couple of months are going to be the best," Sky said.

"I'm so excited to be on the road with y'all," Ben said.

We heard Dan and Zach finish Santa Fe Prologue, we all clapped.

"Ok, now let's go on to Carrying the Banner, swings sing along with us, please and thank you," James said looking at the swings.

"Hey, that my cigar," Ben sung

"You'll steel another," Sky sung

"Hey, look, it's bath time at the zoo," Jorden said, who plays Specs.

"I thought that I'd surprise my mother," said DeMarius, who played Henry.

"If you can find her," Sky replied.

"WHO ASKED YOU," we all said.

"Ay, papes aren't selling like they used to I think I need a new selling spot got any ideas," Sky sung.

"From Bottle Alley to the harbor there's easy picking guaranteed," Ben sung in a New York accent.

"Try and banker, bum, or barber. They almost all knows how to read," Julian sang, who plays Finch.

"It's a crooked game we're playing, one will never lose, long as suckers don't mind payin', just to get bad news," sang Dan.

"Ain't it a fine life, carrying the banner through it all," the cast sang.

"A mighty fine life, carrying the banner through it all,"

"When the bell rings, we goes where we wishes, we's as free as fishes, sure beats ashing dishes,"

"What a fine life, carrying the banner home free-all,"

"Hey, Crutchie what your leg say, gonna rain," Julian said.

"Uh, no rain, ho ho partly cloudy clear by evenin'," Zach said.

"Ha, and the limp sells 50 papes a week all by its self," Ben said with sarcasm.

"I don't need the limb to self papes I got personality," Zach said with an annoyed look.

"It takes a smile that spreads like butter, the kind that turns a lady's head"

"It takes an orphan with a stutter," Ben said

"Who's also blind," Julian said.

"And mute." Sky said.

"And dead." Jeff said, who played Elmer

"Summer stinks and winters freezing, when you works outdoors, start out sweatin', end up sneezin', in between it pours," we all sing.

SKIP TO THE END OF SONG

"We'll all be out there, carrying the banner man to man, we're always out there, soakin' every sucker that we can,"

"Here's the headline, newsies on a mission, kill the competition, sell the next edition,"

"We'll be out there, carrying the banner, see us out there, carrying the banner, always out there, carrying the banner,"

"Ah, ah, ah, go," singing louder as we went.
