The Doctor's Mate

Chapter 2

Carlisle's P.O.V

Today was a normal day in the hospital. I think Alice saw me with my mate soon but I don't know how soon. Esme went to Germany and has been to Germany for about a year and in that year I realized I didn't miss her at all after a month I told the kids and they were happy. Esme when she is here has been very mean to them and they all want a mother. Alice only told me that my mate is their age I didn't mind though. I was in the lobby when my name was called. I looked back and saw the most beautiful woman I have ever seen.

I snapped out of it and ran over at human pace. I grabbed her and felt powerful electricity. I heard her gasp lightly, but I barely heard. Other nurses came up. I ran to a room and sat her down. Jasper told me what happened and I had to control my anger. I went over and they cut her shirt I was in full doctor mode now. The kids left and we examined her. She had a huge cut on her ribs. Then I felt they were bruised. "Doctor Cullen, this scratch is gonna leave a huge scar on her." One of the nurses said. "Not if I do it. Hand me the string and needle. And before I do this knock her out so she won't feel any pain." They nod and do that while I get the things ready.

Once they are I start stitching her up. I glance over and see Charlie and my kids. I start to concentrate harder on my mate, ignoring their talking. I clear my head about everything and start working on her. "Nurse Layla I need you to do a full X-ray on her to see if she broke anything." She nods and starts setting it up. I get done with her stitching and she will barely have anything. I back up and she does what she needs to. The other nurses clean up her cuts.

"Dr. Cullen her left wrist is sprained and there is something behind her ribs." I step closer. "She is internally bleeding we need to move NOW or she will die!" I say. We all run out and I have one side guiding the gurney. "Nurse Drake I need you to tell her father what is happening and my kids because they have grown close to her." He nods and runs out. We set everything up and start working on her.

After an hour and a half we are done. I push her to a room by herself. Charlie and my kids come running in. He comes straight towards me. "How is she Dr. Cullen?" Charlie said. "She is gonna be ok. She was internally bleeding and we barely caught it. She had a huge cut on her abdomen that had metal in it I took it out then stitched her up. She has a sprained wrist and bruised ribs. I wrapped a bandage around her." I say looking on the board. "Ok when can she go home?" I look at Charlie. "A day or 2 the stitches need time for her to get used to it but you need to schedule a time you want her back for a check up.

He nods. "O-ok." I smile. "Follow me Chief Swan." Once he is done he scheduled it after school on Monday 2 weeks from now. He heads back to her room. After 3 hours my shift is over and I walk in her room. Charlie is gone. I close the door. I walk to Belle and hold her hand. "She will be fine Carlisle." Edward says putting a hand on my shoulder. "I know but it is hard Seeing her like this." "I know." He says she starts to move and I remove my hand and step back.

She moved her head and opened her eyes. She looks around. "I didn't know we were at the hospital relationship yet." She says. My kids laugh. Her eyes turn to me. She just looks in my eyes. "Dr. Cullen, what happened to me?" She says. "You were hit by a semi truck and if it hit your side of the car then-" I couldn't finish my sentence. "Then you would have died." Emmett says. I nod.

Belle's P.O.V

"I hate hospitals they smell like death and sickness." They laugh I do to then I wince moving my hand to my stitches and ribs.

"So can my car be saved?" I say. They shake their head. I frown. "That is the only thing I have of my mother and step father in Pheonix. They gave it to me as a birthday present. This sucks ass." They laugh. I glare.  "So where is my dad?" "He left a little while ago. We will be back tomorrow though. Do you need anything from your old car?" Dr. Cullen says. "Yes. I need my car back." "Belle we cant get your car back it is totally wreaked. "Fine then my bookbag and purse." They nod. Emmett and Rose leave.
