When you walked into Steve's apartment the next weekend, you could hear the shower running and the muffled sounds of someone singing along to the Grease soundtrack. Assuming it was Steve, you sat on the couch and looked for something to watch. A few minutes later, the water turned off and the bathroom door opened.

"Were you enjoying your little concert –" you stopped when you saw Bucky standing in the hallway. He was shirtless with a towel wrapped around his waist, his hair dripping water onto his chest. You had to force yourself not to stare. "Why are you showering in Steve's apartment?"

He made no effort to go get dressed, and it was getting harder and harder not to check him out. "The water's off at my place." "It's almost seven, why are you showering so late?" And where is Steve? "Why are you asking me so many questions?" he huffed, "But I'm getting ready for a date, that's why." Oh.

You wanted to say something witty, but nothing came out. "Are those all your questions?" "Just one more, can you please put some clothes on?" He chuckled. "Like you aren't enjoying it. I saw you check me out earlier." You blushed and turned back to the T.V so he wouldn't see. "You wish."

Then you realized something, "You were listening to Grease. Not only that, you were singing along, meaning you've listened enough to memorize the words." When you turned back around, you saw he was the flustered one now. "I...Steve left it on, I didn't know how to turn it off. So I just left it."

But the music had stopped playing. "So then why is it off now? Admit it, you like musicals." Bucky always had to act tough, claimed he only liked things from the 40's. "I'll admit it when you admit you were checking me out." Was it worth it? You didn't want to give him the satisfaction or the ego boost.

"I have all the proof I need, I'll pass," you smirked, and he rolled his eyes before going back into the bathroom. He came back dressed in black dress pants and a maroon button up and again, you fought the urge to stare. "If you tell anyone about this, you're dead," he threatened when he sat down. You were already planning on telling Steve later.

As if on cue, Steve unlocked the front door and walked in with his groceries. "Oh, hey guys. Hanging out without me, huh?" He grinned. "Don't get it twisted, she barged in unannounced." "Maybe if you wouldn't have been singing so loud you would've heard me," you mumbled just loud enough for Bucky to hear. He glared at you as a warning.

"You nervous for the date?" Steve asked him. "Eh, not really. We've been talking a lot, she's great." You swore he looked over to see your reaction. "Poor girl doesn't know what's coming." "And where's your date? Oh wait, he doesn't exist." Steve sighed from his kitchen, he knew what was coming. "Well, I'm also not desperate. I don't jump on the first person I see."

"Maybe you should be desperate, might be the only way to get someone to like you," Bucky smiled, clearly proud of himself for that comeback. Before you could argue back, he was getting off the couch. "Well, I'm off." You glared at him as he walked out the door and Steve came and sat next to you.

"You're jealous." And he's crazy. "Am not." Steve looked at you like come on, you know I'm right. "Don't give me that look," you groaned. "I'm just saying, you'll feel better if you admit it's true." "Tell me, what exactly am I jealous of?" You don't know why you asked, you didn't want to hear his answer. "That he's going on a date with someone that isn't you."

Although you were expecting him to say it, you couldn't help the laugh that came out of you. Steve stared, a hint of concern on his face. "That's probably the funniest thing you've ever said. You're also dead wrong." "Think about it. You complain when he's around, but you always stay. At dinner you could've eaten alone or left, but you convinced him to stay. Tonight, he was here alone, and you stayed not knowing when I'd be back. Why do you think that is?"
