As my dad parks up I look around and smile at the peace I feel in my heart. My smile widens when I see my dad hold his hand out. I take his hand and swing my leg over and stand by his side. He gets off the bike after me and we unclip our helmets. My dad smiles at me as he takes my helmet, hangs them on the handlebars, and starts to lead me towards the diner. I smile at him as he holds the door open for me. I smile wide as we walk in and walk to a booth in the back. As we sit down I see my dad is looking at me. "What?" I ask him with blush tinted cheeks as I tilt my head in confusion. "Nothing. You just look so much like your mom" he says with a sad smile. "She never hated you by the way. She was just scared when she found out she was pregnant with me" I tell him with a smile as I grab his hand that is on the table. "How do you know that?" he asks with sadness laced in his voice. "She always talked about you while I was growing up. She told me you would have loved me if you knew about me. She never said anything unflattering about you either" I tell him with a wide smile. "Why did you never try to find me till now?" he asks curiously. "Because she never told me your name. She didn't want me to get caught up in what you were doing. She said back then it was really bad and she didn't know if you were out of that or not" I told him as I squeezed his hand. "I understand. I was into some real messed up stuff back then. I didn't blame her for leaving either. I just want you to know I loved your mom very much. I still love her" he says with teary eyes. "She loved you too daddy. She talked about you all the time and always told me I was a perfect blend between the two of you" I tell him with a wide, watery smile. "You are" he says with a genuine smile. I smile back at him as the waitress comes over after our talk. "How can I help you guys today?" she says as she pulls her pen and notepad out. "Nova?" I ask as I really look at her. "Lina?" she asks as her eyes go wide. I nod as I stand up and pull her into a tight hug. Once we pull apart I look at her with a wide smile. "You look good Nova" I tell her as I really look at her. "Thank you Emmy. I am sorry about your mom" she says with sad eyes. "It is okay Nova. This is my dad by the way" I say as I point at Taza. "Nice to meet you dad" she says with a laugh as she waves. "Call me Che" he says with a smile and I look at Nova and see she is blushing. I sit back down as I look between the two with a smile. I clear my throat as they break their staring contest. "Sorry. What can I get you guys?" Nova asks with a deep red blush. "Just a coke and some fries for me" I tell her with a smirk. "The same please" my dad tells her with a smirk as well. Once she walks away I look at my dad with a smirk as I cross my arms across my chest. "What?" my dad asks and I can swear I saw him blush. "Oh nothing. She is cute isn't she?" I ask with a smirk. He looks away and I can swear again that he blushed. "She is single too" I tell him with a smile. He looks up at me and smirks. "Are you okay with me doing that?" he asks with sincere eyes. "Absolutely. Just treat her right" I tell him with a smile. "Always" he tells me. As Nova comes back with our order I see her sneakily looking at my dad. They lock eyes and my dad smiles at her as she blushes dark red. "He is single you know" I tell her. My dad spits his drink out as I say that. "Dad just ask her out and get to know her. You two have been flirting so do it" I tell him. "Nova would you like to go on a date and get to know each other?" my dad asks her after he recovers. "Yes" she says shyly as she hurries away. "Way to go dad" I tell him with a smile and a clap. "Shut it and eat" he tells me sternly. I chuckle as I start to eat my lunch. We eat and get to know each other better. Once we are done eating Nova comes back with our check and takes our dishes. I smile at my dad as I see him smile at the check. *She gave him her number* I think to myself. My dad pays with a wide smile on his face. Once he pays we walk out to his bike and go back to the yard. Once we arrive and dismount I take off my helmet and kiss my dad's cheek. "Good luck daddy" I tell him with a smile. He smiles back as he walks away with a wide smile and I make my way to find Creeper.
