"I'm sorry, Marinette," her mother said with a look of sympathy in her silver orbs.

"I suppose I should start packing..." Marinette said with sorrow in her voice, standing up to start her task. Her pace was slow as she slouched and walked to her room. The girl's parents watched her with a sorrowful look in their eyes. They never wanted to move from their home, but they had gotten an opportunity too good to pass up at their new home.

"Marinette!" The bluenetts kwami flew out from her bag. Finally free from the confined space.

"You heard them Tiki, I'm going to have to give you up." She said, sadly pulling out her suitcase.

"Can't you just use the horse miraculous?" The spotted creature tried to be optimistic about the situation, only to terribly fail.

"It's not that easy. I'm going to be living in China," Marinette's statement was one of truth. Truth could sometimes be too much to handle, hurting many people. Especially when she knew that she had to leave Adrien, the said to be 'love of her life'.

Now she'd have to cope with this newfound emptiness within her. Not only did the bluenette have to leave her crush, but she would also have to leave her friends too. Yes, she would still be able to be in touch with them from the long distance, but she also wouldn't be going to school with them. Not able to see them in person almost everyday. Not able to fight crime with Chat anymore. Seemingly everything would change with the move taking everything away from her.

"The flight to China will be leaving soon," the person over the intercom announced, not knowing what was going through Marinette's head as she got on the plane. The pain and sorrow she felt, they were absolutely clueless.

She had said goodbye to her friends on Friday, the day before the flight. But she'd given up her miraculous a day sooner. Marinette knew that she'd miss Tiki and vise versa, but she didn't know how much she truly would.

"Good morning Kyan," you yawned after turning your alarm off. With another day of school ahead, you got up to get ready as your kwami stayed in bed a little longer. "Now, which outfit looks better?" You held up two outfits of your choice, hoping the sleeping creature would wake up and answer your question.

After a minute of silence, you yelled at him to wake up, "WAHH! What! I'm wake! Where's the akumatized victim,"

"No ones akumatized right now, I just wanna know which outfit works best," you replied to his little wakeup outburst.

"Hmmm, the third one.."

"There is no third one,"

"Fourth?" Still tired, he just kept spitting answers.

"Look at them," you groaned, waving the outfits infront of his face.

"Uh, that one," he pointed to one of the outfits and you went to finish getting ready. Humming to yourself, you picked up your backpack and started heading out as your kwami flew into your bag/pocket. (What are y'all using for him to hide in?)

"Hey guys," you said as you sat down in your seat next to Adrien. In return, Alya, Nino and Adrien greeted you back. "Where's Marinette? Usually she sits by you Alya,"

"Unfortunately, she had to move out of the country," she replied with a hint of sadness in her tone.

"Oh, I'm sorry guys, I know how close you all were," You hadn't been there the day she'd said goodbye to everyone so you were clueless. You'd been doing a charity stream for the day instead of school.

"Its going to be okay, we can still stay in touch. Marinette is just farther away," Adrien tried to brighten the sour mood that had been brought over you and Alya. Nino was also sad, but not as much.

"Yeah! Adrien's right!" You looked at Alya, "after school, maybe we can video chat with her. Check in and see how she's doing,"

She looked back at you with hope in her eyes, "that would be nice." After a little more conversation between everyone, class had finally started. It was odd not having Marinette there for everyone, she'd often fend off Chloe when she was verbally attacking someone. Now that was you.

And she listened.

You thought it was just because you were famous but another part of you said it was something else. You couldn't quite figure out what though.

Not only did this occur with Chloe, but Ladybug was no where to be seen. Usually she had been the first one to be fighting. Neither you nor Chat Noir knew where she had went. And according to him, It wasn't like her to leave without telling him.

Walking down to the Dupain-cheng bakery, you had your headphones in on, playing your favorite song. Only one ear bud was in your ear though, safety first. What you saw when you arrived was saddening though.

The bakery was closed and empty, no one was inside. Through the window you could see the counter and display had been completely wiped of its contents. It looked gloomy.

Even if Marinette didn't live there anymore, you still went there. Your parents even found out about your little visits and decided to buy the place. That was thrilling.

Today, you would clean up the place, filming your progress and showing Marinette the edited video later on. You wanted her permission to post it first. It would be your little surprise to her.

As you got to work, you noticed that the bakery was quite clean already with small amount of dust and grime around the place. It had been five months after Marinette had left. It was surprising that it wasn't as dirty as you thought it'd be. You hummed to the music playing from your Bluetooth speaker as you swept the floor, swaying your hips slightly to the music.

The door to the shop opened, ringing the small bell attached to it, but you didn't hear it over your speaker. The person who walked in had only stared at you, watching you clean before grabbing another broom and started sweeping beside you.

"Ah!" You startled as you finally noticed the person and turned down the music.

"Hey, Y/n," Adrien smiled at you, the camera catching everything, "what are you up to?"

"Oh! Hey Adrien!" You greeted, "my parents bought the place for me after Marinette moved... I was just so sad and kept visiting. So now I'm cleaning it up and continuing the bakery for her!"

"That's so sweet, it even sounds like something Marinette would do for her friends," he replied.

"Yeah, yeah. What are you doing here?"
