~Third Person Point of View~
Alice tugged at the sheets as she strained in her sleep, she began squirming around and whimpering. Her eyes shot open rapidly going from side to side in quiet a panic, her body covered in a sheet of sweat. She sat up in bed slowly remembering where she was too, she brought her knees and blankets to her chest. Not even recalling when she hauled the throw blanket across herself, she must have been exhausted. She had another nightmare last night, nightmares about the worse day in her life.
~Flash back~
Alice held her breath with her back pressed against the wall in the hallway, around the corner she could hear her mother's voice. She was screaming for Alice to not come out from wherever she was followed by painful screams. Alice could no longer listen to her mother, she flew around the corner running to the spot on the floor where her mother's body now laid. She threw herself to the ground wrapping her arms around her mother's lifeless body, she began to cry so hard no sounds could escape her mouth.
"M-om" she choked out slightly shaking her mother. She didn't move but a small noise escaped her lips. Her head snapped up when she heard a low voice speak.
"Ahh you must be her, hair and eyes ever so golden." Alice's vision was blurry from tears in her eyes, as she focused on the figure that spoke she realized it was him. Voldemort had finally found the Pacifist he had been searching for, to kill.
"No, no! I'm not who your looking for, I don't have any special powers." Alice trembled. He smirked and approached her making her freeze closing her eyes shuttering as she felt him pick a piece of her hair between his fingers.
"Of course you are dear Alice, your eyes cannot lie" He grabbed her chin forcing her to face him inches apart. He smirked knowing no one else could possess these eyes, just as the prophecy said. She couldn't help but let the tears roll down her face, she couldn't be brave like her mother said she needed to be. She was scared and afraid, but yet a rage slowly begin to fill her up. The moment she felt the rage she noticed Voldemort let go of her face and his expression changed to confusion. It felt almost like something within her had taken over, the last thing Alice sees is a bright light flash and everything falls dark quickly after.
~End of Flashback~
She blinked a few times before she glanced at her watch seeing it was nearly noon, she made her way across the cold floors to the bathroom. She turned on the sink and aloud it to fill up with warm water and splashing her face. She looked in the mirror analyzing herself for moment, her wavy blonde hair, pale compaction, but her most prominent feature was her golden eyes. She sighed and looked away from the mirror making her way back to the bedroom to change into warmer clothes. She changed into a oversized copper colored crewneck and some grey sweat pants, she decided she didn't plan on going out until later this evening when most of the students would not be out around. Taking the offer that Dumbledore had kindly gave her to take a few days to settle in and then begin classes.
Until then, she wanted to unpack all of her belongings from her bags, finding a home for every item. She spent most of the afternoon doing that until she got a knock on her door, which startled her none the lease. She approached the door slowly grabbing the handle opening it ever so slowly and peaking out the door to see no one there. She glanced down and saw a package wrapped in beige paper tied up with black twine, she breathed and remembered Dumbledore sent this as promised. She didn't realize she stepped out into the hallway at this point as she was getting the package, she looked out over the handle rail revealing the poorly lit common room. As she took a step back towards her room her eyes fell upon a figure that sat on the couch nice to the fire place then her eyes locked with a certain pair of grey eyes, Draco Malfoy. A shiver fell over her body and she quickly looked away and went back in the room closing and locking the door behind her. She noticed her heart beat was escalated slightly as she made her way to the bed throwing the package on it. She sighed and decided it was time to change into the clothing that was provided to her. She picked out the black skirt with white knee high socks and a grey sweater with the Slytherin colors over a white dress shirt and the black robe with her wand in her pocket. She opened her door and took a step out, she was relieved there was no one in the hallway nor in the common room. She walked quickly down the stairs making her way to the common room door to leave. She walked down the corridor and made her way up out of the dungeon. She walked pass a few students who looked at her and whisper to each other, she lowered her head taking another corner to avoid people's gazes. She found herself face to face with a group of four boys from Slytherin she has never seen before but could identify them by their robes. Alice attempted to pass the group of boys but they cornered her into the wall not allowing her to pass them, she looked up to their smug faces.
