Dead? Dream au

The reactions

After Dream 'escaped' a message appeared, as it always did when someone died. Many thought it to be a joke, and Sam rushed to Dream's cell to confirm this. As he went in he looked all over, even though he knew there was no place he could possibly hide. Sam picked up the book in the middle of the cell, it was labeled 'LAST WORD' and was signed by Dream. Sam read it, and he turned angry, angry at Dream. "That was it!?". Sam couldn't yell at Dream, or even really be mad at Dream himself without him there, so he seemed more angry at the book. Sam closed the book, leaving the cell to do his guard duties, and to break the news to everyone.

Basically everyone was doubtful, but not all. Some saw it as a trap, others were scared of him becoming a ghost if it was true, others would celebrate if he had truly died, but in that moment, the SMP was quiet. Even the smartest, or more observant thought other things before realizing something, if Dream was truly dead, what would that mean for the SMP? He was technically the creator of this world, how would this world work without him? They were happy this world hadn't collapsed without him, leaving them all to die, but it was still worrisome. In the end, this caused more suspicion of his, supposed, death. Because of this, many people, from many different sides, both friend and foe, went to the jail. More and more people came to the jail, some almost starting fights, until the portal started, and Sam walked out of it. Tommy was the first to speak up, "Oi! Is that bastard really dead?" Others spoke up about this, however Phil's voice was the next to gain weight. "That's not the real problem, if he is dead, what does that mean for us?" A few seemed confused by this, while others understood the meaning.

After a few more questions, and even some arguing, Sam quieted them down before speaking. "From what I understand, he did die," multiple people spoke up. "It also seems to be on purpose." Some sad, angry, or a mix of them and disbelief, as if they didn't believe someone like Dream would do that. At this Sam quieted them down again by pulling out a book. "This is his final words, or, well, word." He opened up the book, before reading. "Goodbye." Was all Sam said. Silence filled the air. "What the fuck!?" Tommy said, a "Launguage!" Could be heard from the crowd. Technoblade spoke next, "That's it? No snarky remarks? Or even maybe a apology, perhaps a poem or something?" Sam shook his head. "Ya sure that's from Dream?" Someone asked from the crowd, but Sam didn't see who. "It's signed in his name, there was no breach in security, there was no where for him too hide. This was Dream's final words. I'm not sure what this means for the SMP, but my guess is he turned into a ghost. If anyone knows where his ghost is, or even where he is, please report to me, we don't know if every ghost is like Ghostbur after all." At this he showed the books signature and title, before going back into the prison, closing the portal behind him. Everyone was baffled at this discovery, leaving their separate ways to fight eachother another day. It would be quite awhile before anyone found any information on Dream.
