It has been ten years since my parent's passing, we have been living on the island now after all this time. Aashna and Jairus have been like a real family to us, and their own as our siblings. A week after we got to the island, Aashna gave birth to twins, she named the girl Marinna, after our Mother and the boy, Aleksander after her father. These past ten years we grew up with a new family, Aashna and Jairus, Millaray, Hialeah, Aleksander, Marinna and Gunnar. Yana, my youngest sister and Hialeah's twin, unfortunately died of the flu two winter's ago. While Cera, Aashna and Jairus' first born passed away due to a fire. We have slowly recovered from these, however it is a touchy subject for us to talk about.

"Prairie Flower!!! Why aren't you ready for the festival tonight?", Mikhail yells from the top of the tree.

Mikhail was a tree climber born and raised as Id like to say. He has been my first friend ever since we had moved to the islands, although he lived on the island across ours. He always rowed to our island to play with us siblings, since he says that on his island, there are no children. Mikhail and I have been an item for a year now, even though we used to be enemies, no body would have guessed we would end up together.

"Monkey, come down and kiss your future bride before the ceremony." I said.

"I cannot Leo, you know that is against the rules! Ill see you tonight my beautiful flower!" Mikhail yells as he swings from tree to tree away from my sight.

Today is the binding ceremony and festival for me and Mikhail, you see we are getting married. I do not like the idea of it, but his parents insist. The thing is, when someone gets married in our tribe, the bride first gets taken by the canyon tribe to be with for a week. And you can see why I do not like this, its because of Chief LeSharo and my past, its been years though so I doubt anybody can even recognize me. The night passed and before the festival ended, the canyon tribe arrives to our island and the soldier takes me away. As I left, Mikhail looked at me and says, "I love you my beautiful prairie flower, forever we shall be together. Seven days and seven nights is what is keeping us apart from each other, I will wait for you my love."

The guard in the boat tugs my hand and made me sit on the boat and rowed until the figure of Mikahil got smaller and smaller.

"Princess Prairie Flower is your name huh? Odd, are you born of the canyon tribe?" The soldier asks.

"No.. I was born on the island, with my family.." I say carefully as I look back on to our island.

"I wonder, you know legend says that a family of girls ran away from our village. Kasa is her name, with her daughters they ran. Our Chief was saddened and frustrated that he searched for them. He never found them though." The soldier says as he looked away from me, then something made him look back at me with confused and suspicious eyes, "What is your name prairie flower?"
