ADORA had finally agreed to sit with me for lunch today. I had been trying to get her to talk to me for the past two weeks but she wasn't ready just yet. Every time I stopped by her new place she shut the door in my face, her friend cussed me out on the door step but I could only focus on Adora. Her curly hair was now cut short to her shoulders, her body well fuck her body looked so good— I mean it always has but today she was wearing a tight burgundy shirt dress that hugged her perfectly. My Adora was sitting right in front of me but her eyes watched me as if I was another regular person. They didn't light up when they saw me, I tried hugging her but she smiled politely as she always did and said she wanted to get this over with because she had something important to do.
Adora had finally left Theodore, turns out he got someone pregnant they had been coming to my sessions until he once again up and left. I didn't feel bad for the woman because she was apart of the reason Adora was hurt at the time. She was as breath taking as ever but me I was a different story.
My hair grew a bit longer and I had eye bags under my eyes. I couldn't sleep in my house for a while because my sheets and shirts smelled like her no matter how many times I washed them she was always there.
"Reid this has to hurry I have a friend to meet for lunch" I furrowed my eyebrows. A friend? Was she already over me? Was she already seeing someone?
"Adora what do you mean by friend?" her body shivered at the sound of my voice, I still had an effect on her as did she did to but on me.
"A person you meet and get to know and label them as a friend Reid" even the way she said my name was cold now I didn't recognize her once soft tone.
"Adora please, just" I sighed before reaching out for her hand, to my surprise she actually let me bringing the warmth to my body she always did. "I don't have to say I'm an idiot because you already know that, but I'm sorry Adora I didn't mean those words at all you weren't just another fuck you were so much more but I just didn't want to accept that".
"Reid I've already forgiven you, I have to move on with things" my grip on her hand tightened a little.
"You can't just move on from me like that Adora can't you see that I"- her face flashed with realization before faltering because I couldn't say the words. Ryan would say why can't I say three simple words that's because they aren't simple, not when I'm saying them to Adora there more than just that. Telling Adora how I feel would include her into my life she would be breaking down the wall I put up the feelings I set aside from everyone I would be giving myself to her.
"Just tell me that we're okay" this time she let go of my hand and I felt something in me drop for a moment.
She stood up taking her purse from the side of the chair. "We're okay Reid, but you're going to do a hell of a lot more to get me back" I stood up with her following her outside to her car.
"One more thing Reid" she fixed the collar on my shirt before smiling with her vixen ways.
"I'm not going to make this easy for you at all"

I was definitely not going to make this easy for Reid, even though I probably would have broke if he had said the words but I was going to be strong and stick my ground even if I wanted to run my fingers through his now long hair.
Nope we're staying strong.
"Adora are you okay?" Marcus asked waving his hand in my face. "You've been starring out the window since you walked in here, does it have to do with that man looking at me like he wants to choke me out".
Marcus and I met when Phoenix got us a gym membership. He was our trainer who has also became a really good friend of ours. Reid was standing outside by my car and I could just feel the anger coming off of him.
"Please don't tell me he's a crazy ex and I might get killed even being around you" I laughed but he wasn't.
"Oh no of course not just a very protective man" he nodded shaking his attention away from Reid.
"So Phoenix, is she like single?" he avoided my eyes taking a sip of his coffee.
"Come on Marcus it's like crystal clear you like her just ask her out already" he shook his head no.
"Are you crazy woman?! Phoenix is like super intimidating but like super cute at the same time she would be the death of me" I laughed because that was the truth. Lucky for Phoenix Marcus was a complete submissive she teased him to no end.
"But I'll do it hopefully she says yes because that would be embarrassing like extremely embarrassing"- his eyes moved to someone behind me and I had already known it was Reid.
"I'll be right back Marcus" he nodded— following Reid outside the story he pulled me possessively closer to him leaning in my ear.
"I miss you so much Adora, I know you miss me too" his fingers brushing my exposed arm— the feeling of his lips lightly against my ear while his other arm is around my waist brought the feeling of being complete back.
He wasn't going to win this.
"I truly do miss you so much Mr. Romano" my knee brushed over his hard causing him to groan closing his eyes. "But judging by this you seem to miss me more isn't that right".
"Adora" he said deeply more like a warning.
"You're not getting back in my good favors just yet Reid, you're going to have to try way harder than that" I walked back into the store taking a deep breath.
