It had been weeks since the boys visit to Madam Hwang in Wells-Wood Hollow. Soobin lead his friends back to The Obsidian Eye's hideout. They were returning the necklaces they were gifted. They did not wish to join this secret society. There were too many risks.

They quietly let themselves in. Master Lee was attending to Taehyun. Taehyun was meditating. Jin, Yoongi, Namjoon, & Taehyung approached the four first years. "We haven't seen you in weeks. How can we help you ?" , Namjoon asked. The four handed over their necklaces.

"You're returning them ? Why ?" Yoongi asked a bit surprised. Soobin let out a long sigh, "우리는 결정을 내렸습니다. 어둠의 마법은 우리가 살고 싶어하는 길이 아니다." (We have made up our minds. Dark magic isn't the path we want to live by.)

Namjoon stopped the others from stopping the others from trying to change their minds. "So you're just going to leave Taehyun to his training then ?", Yoongi asked harshly. Yeonjun spoke up. "He is free to stay. Taehyun has seemed to have made up his mind."

Taehyung gave a sad smile. "Our graduation will begin when your second year starts. Will you at least still attend ?" Kai responded, "We wouldn't miss it." Namjoon walked them out.

Taehyun's dark meditation was going well. Jungkook watched over him. Jimin joined him. "He is quite strong for a First Year. He is adjusting well to the meditation." Jungkook looked at Jimin, "우리가 형으로 옳은 선택을 했나요? 그냥 인생을 즐기고 있어야 하는 거 아닌가요?" (Did we make the right choice hyung ? Shouldn't he just be enjoying his life ?)

Jimin patted him on the shoulder. "우리가 한 일은 그들을 우리 대열에 초대하는 것이었어요 정국 씨, 부끄러워하실 것 없어요." (All we did was invite them into our ranks. There is no shame you should feel for that, Jungkook.)

He wasn't wrong. Taehyun was an exceptional First Year. He was adjusting comfortably to the dark meditation after his visit with Madam Hwang & speaking with Obsidian. Master Lee pulled Jungkook aside. "You're his guide. Do you think he is ready ?"

Jungkook looked shocked to hear this question coming up so soon. "Like is Taehyun ready for his official membership to begin ?" Master Lee nodded. "Soojin cares for him like a son & he has shown great potential with his willingness to accept our magic."

Jungkook was even more shocked. "You want to grant a First Year full access to The Obsidian Eye ?" Master Lee looked at Jungkook sensing he was conflicted by his questions. "Maybe I shouldn't have asked you. It is clear you're doubting things."

Taehyun made his tea. He's been drinking it as he was told by Madam Hwang. Hoseok approached him. "How are you feeling ?" Taehyun smiled. "제가 관리해 왔어요 하지만 저는 언제 정식 회원이 될까요?" (I've been managing. But when will I officially become a member ?)

Hoseok laughed. He truly didn't have an answer for that. "Only Master Lee determines if you're ready for full membership. I didn't full get accepted until I was a 4th Year."

From there it was just small talk between them as Taehyun made his way back to his dorm. He unlocked his dorm with his key before being net with four pairs of eyes. "You're actually going to join that twisted secret society ?" Yeonjun asked even though he knew the extent of Taehyun' emotions. Taehyun wasn't bothered. "I can join if I want. Not everything should be driven by fear."

Kai looked at Taehyun. "You were there at Madam Hwang' with us. Why do you still want to join ?" Taehyun was quiet. Which sparked nothing but anger from Beomgyu. "전형적이죠. 당신은 그들의 비밀도 지키고 있어요." (Typical. You're keeping their secrets as well.) Soobin interjected as to stop a possible argument. "You'll always be our friend, Taehyun. Remember that above all else, ok ?"

Taehyun opened his door. "Show yourselves out, would you ?"
