Lucy had joined the military training after she leave her adoptive family. The 101st Cadet Corps Class entrance ceremony was already begun. She was stand in a row of cadets and look in front of her. She was wearing cadet corps' uniform like the other people. She was heard the commander talked to them which she silent all the time. She had think about how to save human from titans. She was already make a promise to Mikasa, Eren and Armin that she will wait them to join the scouts together. Keith then had walked through them and stopped in front of Lucy which snapped out of her when she look at Keith. As she was expected, Keith have a curious about her.
"Cadet, what's your name?!" Said Keith loudly make Lucy silent before she answered him. "My name is Lucy Fullbuster and I'm from Shiganshina, Sir!" Said Lucy calmly as the people shocked to heard that. Keith was silent to observe her which he got interested on her. "Why are you here, Cadet Fullbuster?!" Said Keith as he question her. Lucy had know that she need to give the answer which she did. "I'm come to join the survey corps so I can save the humanity from titans, Sir!" Said Lucy in determination had shown on her face make him feel amaze of her. Keith was smirk at her as he believe that she can do it because she had a determination on her eyes. Keith didn't saying anything as he go to another cadet. Lucy was sigh in relief before she look at the sky. 'Mikasa, Eren, Armin, don't worry about me. I will keep our promise.' Thought Lucy with a smile on her face.
Timeskip
Lucy had pass in ODM gear training as she can balance herself without struggling. Everyone were feel amaze of Lucy as she can do it without failed. Lucy had going to the cafeteria bringing her food and sit alone by herself. While she was going to eat, she had heard two males come over her and asked to sit with her which she doesn't mind about that. They were seem happy as they sit with her. They were Eld Gin and Gunther Schultz. Eld was start to speak as they silent all the time. "Hey, Lucy. If you don't mind, can we be a best friend? I'm Eld Gin and this is my friend, Gunther Schultz, Lucy." Said Eld in politely way make Lucy look at him. She was smile at him before she speak. "Hey, Eld, Gunther. Yeah, sure. We can be best friend if you want, Eld, Gunther." Said Lucy with a small smile on her face. Gunther was look relieved as he smile back at Lucy. "Thank you, Lucy." Said Gunther as they continue talked each other.
Lucy was seem comfortable with Eld and Gunther. Lucy had passed the ODM gear test since she was good balance herself. Not only that, she was good in cutting the nape of fake titans and hand-in-hand combat training. Two years later, Lucy had already get graduated and got a first rank. She was not using her power as she decided to use her real strength. Eld had got in fourth rank while Gunther get ninth rank. Eld and Gunther have a conversation with Lucy. Lucy was popular in 101th cadet corps trainee because of her beauty and her strength. Eld and Gunther had think her as their little sister. "Hey, Lucy. Which branch that you join?" Asked Eld with curious look. Lucy was calm looking at Eld and Gunther. "Well, I have already make my decision. I will join the survey corps, Eld, Gunther." Said Lucy which make Eld and Gunther shock at her. Gunther had not make his decision but he want to follow Lucy where ever she go.
Gunther doesn't know which branch that he will join. He doesn't want to go Military police because he doesn't like the attitude in that regiment. Garrison will make him feel disgusted because of the drunk of soldier. About the survey corps, he doesn't know to think that regiment. "Survey corps, Lucy? If you don't mind me asking, why you want to join the scouts?" Said Gunther in curiously face. Lucy was smile at Gunther before she speak at him. "Two reason why I want to join the scouts. First, I had promise to my adoptive siblings, Mikasa, Eren and Armin that we will join the survey corps together. Second, I want to save the humanity from the titans. I don't want to live free like Military police and Garrison who being coward because of their afraid of titans. We don't know when will titans come breech again like Wall Maria. Save humanity and free them from the titan, isn't good for us? That's my goal, Eld, Gunther." Said Lucy softly on her face make them stunned by her words.
Eld was feel bother to choose the regiment as his first choice to choose Military Police. But after Lucy said that, he was think of something. Gunther was seem confidence with his choice. "Then I will choose Survey corps too, Lucy." Said Gunther in his serious face. Lucy and Eld were surprise to heard of Gunther. "Why you choose that survey corps, Gunther?" Said Eld as he recover from the shock. "I want to change my life to fight for humanity, Eld. I don't want to be coward. It's better do something from staying here without doing anything, Eld." Said Gunther before give a smile at Lucy. Lucy was seem satisfied with Gunther. Eld was sigh as he give up before he speak. "Well then, I will choose survey corps like you two, Lucy, Gunther." Said Eld make Lucy blink her eyes before she sigh a little. "Why? I thought that you will choose Military police, Eld?" Said Lucy in confused face. Gunther just nodded his head as he agree with Lucy. He had wonder why Eld want to join the same regiment as them.
"That's because I can't leave you two alone by yourself even I know that you can, Lucy, Gunther. You were right about that. Who know what will happen in the future if titans had breeched again, right Lucy, Gunther? Join the Military police to think that you will be safe will only show you how coward of you to be. I don't want to be a coward, Lucy, Gunther. I want to save the humanity and free them from those ugly bastards. I will follow you where ever you go, Lucy, Gunther." Said Eld in confidence tone make Lucy and Gunther smile. Lucy was giggle as she reach her fist bump to them make Eld and Gunther look at each other before they bump their fist to Lucy. They were smile at each other before Lucy speak. "Then, we will join together, Eld, Gunther. Promise me that no matter what happen, we will stay alive together. We will come back alive and bring the hope with us, Eld, Gunther." Said Lucy with a determination make Eld and Gunther nodded their head in satisfaction.

Lucy was glance at Eld and Gunther who still stand there without moving make her smile as Eld and Gunther had keep their word. 'I guess that they really meant in their word. Thank you, guys.' Thought Lucy with a smile on her face. Lucy then look at Commander Erwin who smile at them. "I see. You each have an outstanding look on you. All of you here had accepted as new member of the scouts regiment! This is a genuine salute! Give your hearts!" Said Erwin as he saluted putting his fist on his chest. The remained eight cadets followed suit. "Yes, sir!" Hearing that make Erwin nodded his head. "You've done well to endure your fear. You're all brave soldiers. I respect you from the bottom of my heart." Said Erwin in a last part before he dismiss them. Lucy then walking to Eld and Gunther with a smile on her face that get noticed by them.
Eld and Gunther were smile back at Lucy. "You guys were stayed there. Seem like you keep of your promise, Eld, Gunther." Said Lucy as Gunther ruffle her hair make her giggle while Eld just shook his head. "Of course we did, Lucy. We had already told you, right? Promise is a promise. We have to keep promise together, Lucy." Said Eld as Gunther and Lucy nodded their head agree with him. They were walked away from the place. Unknown to Lucy, Erwin had watching them, particularly to a blonde woman. He had noticed among all the cadets that joined, she was the shortest in this year's batch but she have a kindest smile on her face that make the people feel warm to her. Behind Erwin was Keith who had noticed the commander looking at Lucy who walking with Eld and Gunther approaching him.
"I see that you have caught on quickly. Perceptive as always. She's Lucy Fullbuster, first among her batch. Quiet a talent I dare to say. If I had to compare her with Levi, she was the fastest than him. But I can said that their strength will be a same level. She was never hold anything and show her true strength. Not only that, she was the most genius than other cadets. Maybe she more genius than you, Erwin." Said Keith as he praise Lucy. "Fullbuster? That's unusual. Judging by her appearance, was she perhaps an Oriental?" Said Erwin in question. "She's one of the last pure ones. You should see her potential, Erwin. She was a great soldier that I have seen before like I see in Levi. You won't disappoint it, Erwin." Said Keith as Erwin chuckle knowing that Keith won't lie on him about Lucy. "Well, then. I will take a note on her, Keith." Said Erwin as he walked off towards the horses and mounts his steed. He gives Keith a salute before he rode off back to the Scout Regiment HQ. Keith was smile before going back to his office.
