Jungkook POV:

'You will forever remain a traitor'

I forced my eyes open, escaping from the dark memories engraved in my mind. The first person my eyes could locate was Yoongi, shapeshifted as an elegant, but bold, blonde man, Jimin.

"Did you take care of the locals?" I questioned as I scanned around and could find no one else in our vicinity.

"What do you expect? I have a long history of cleaning your crimes." He spoke as he sighed.

We were deep in the woods. In my last moments before I passed out, I remembered Yoongi being severely injured due to my power outburst. The remnants of the wounds merely remained as huge bloodstains on his clothes, as all of them were healed using his regenerative powers.

I kept silent until a question popped in my mind, "Why did you kill Rave?"

"Does it matter now? He's gone for good." He ignored my query, as he stood up and started walking towards the forest exit.

"Of course it does, you just killed the biggest Interen official-", I tried talking but he intervened.

"Oh, so how about we talk regarding the hundreds of Interens you just killed because of your outburst?" He clapped back, putting me back into the shameful silence.

"Also, were those your infinite group powers? I was just starting to believe that you could control your powers but you got worse at it", he continued.

He definitely noticed my expressions get duller so he added, "Look, I'm sorry okay. I shouldn't have brought up Satan back then. The only excuse I can give for my mistake is, I said that to warn you about that girl, y/n."

"Could you sense something in her?" I instantly asked in surprise.

"Nope. I couldn't read a lot but from what I could, she was definitely a human. It's impossible for her to be a Helvinian from her blood analysis. Her looking like Anna is purely coincidental." He answered as he walked back towards me.

I sat on the ground deeply lost in my thoughts which were soon interrupted by, "Do you have any plans of staying here the entire day?" he sarcastically asked as he led me a hand.

"How do you know that?" I questioned him again, as I took his support to stand up.

"I met her one day and tried using my forbidden powers to see her origin and past. Because she was a soul, hence very much resistant to my powers, I couldn't clearly see everything but she appeared to have a cursed life back on Earth. As I wasn't satisfied with my results, I took a few drops of her blood without her acknowledging and it undoubtedly indicated a human origin." He explained as he walked.

I just nodded in return and joined him walking.

"Also, how is your mission going? I heard that soul reading required contact with the soul but I've never even seen you talk with her." He asked.

"It's true that soul reading requires direct contact with the soul. The spell I've written only works when I can summon her soul in segments while she is unconscious until I have access to the entire soul. Once fully summoned, I would get one chance to establish a link between her soul and my mind, while she is fully conscious. The link will then let me control everything about her. I can further duplicate this link to other souls, allowing me to control all those souls as well, and also read their minds." I answered.

"As of now, the soul reading is going horrible for me. I didn't yet start summoning, because the startling similarity between her and Anna makes me uncomfortable." I continued after a small pause.
