[Note: I've been updating this story very irregularly for a while now because of my busy life and I just want to know if anyone are still following the storyline. So, please reply to this if you're still here. Even a single person is going to give me a lot of motivation!]
Y/n POV:
Even though I was very doubtful, I decided to trust Jungkook when he said to leave him alone with that horrendous monster. I wiped my tears as I ran at my full speed following the path Yeonjun took. As I ran I heard several squeals and cracks from my behind but I couldn't do anything but run, leaving the guy I loved alone there.
I was so frustrated that I didn't even know how long I kept running for. My legs were numb but I mentally couldn't stop running. I loudly screamed at how helpless I was.
Soon something caught my eyes which caused me to stop.
Blood?
I immediately followed the track of blood and my eyes immediately widened at the sight I arrived to.
"JAY! EMILY!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as I saw their both bodies lying on the ground.
I ran towards them shaking their lifeless bodies.
"They are dead", Yeonjun appeared from behind as he was holding his chest with pain. His eyes were full of pain and sorrow but he couldn't cry.
"What?" I exclaimed as I couldn't believe his words.
"They died in my arms and-" He tried speaking with heavy discomfort, taking shallow and fast rapid breaths. He cut him self in between the conversation as he spat out black fluid out of his mouth, on my clothes as I was standing right opposite to him.
He immediately collapsed on the burning, hard ground after that.
I stared at his fallen body for a brief while as I was completely dumb founded.
Out of nowhere, Jungkook's words from long time back recalled in my mind.
"Hell isn't such a bad place after all. Isn't it?", I spoke as I stared at the black and red sky above me in awe. It was a starry night and the dead silence around made it even more beautiful.
"Why do you think that?" Jungkook, who was lying next to me on the rocky ground turned towards me as he spoke that.
"Back on earth it was always mentioned that Hell was a place which ran on torture. When I was a kid, I read stories about how they would boil you in oil if you went to Hell. But here, there is nothing like that at all." I answered to his question still staring at the sky above.
"You realise that's just because you are a cursed soul right? According to the rules of nature, you are supposedly given a good life by Hell to compensate for your cursed life back on earth", he replied as he looked away from me and fixed his eyes back on the vast sky.
"Yeah but-" I tried speaking but he cut me off.
"Hell is a terrible place, way worse things than getting boiled in oil happen here. Never mistaken it for a paradise. You are still a soul so you won't understand this now" He spoke with a straight face.
"Also Y/n, remember my words. If you ever in your life come across the King, just run away from him because he is a ruthless monster that no one deserves." He continued after a small pause. I couldn't read his face but he kind of looked like he was in pain.
"Why are you talking as if you aren't a soul and some very old Helian who've seen the downs of Hell and it's King for millennials?" I laughed at his words turning my head towards him.
