Miraculous Serum

Dismissed

"Beep! Beep! Beep!" The alarm went off. It was just another day for Jackie. She reached her hand out to stop the alarm who so rudely woke her up from her beauty sleep. She groaned as she sat up from her warm bed. Her strawberry red hair all knotted. She had to go get ready for school, so she picked out an outfit, got changed and went downstairs for breakfast. Like every morning her father wasn't there. He was probably in the science lab working on a "new discovery" as he always says. 

Jackie's mom, Kirsten, was making pancakes, Jackie's favorite. She loved the way the maple syrup just soaked into the fluffy batter. Her favorite were chocolate chip pancakes. She took a plate full of them and basically inhaled them. After she ate her pancakes, she brushed her teeth, gave her mom a kiss on the cheek and headed out the door. 

As Jackie was walking to school she couldn't help but think of her favorite show, Miraculous. She wondered how much more interesting her life would be with Cat Noir and Ladybug around. Secretly Jackie wishes every day that in some universe they were real and one day she would be able to meet them. Only in her dreams though, right?

"Hey girl!" Jackie's friend, Ally, called to her from across the front pavement. Ally reminded Jackie of Alya. The way she talks and how she is always there for her friends. 

"Hi!" Jackie responded, waking up from her trance of the Miraculous world.

She ran over to Ally who then hugged her. 

"You ready for this day girl?" Ally always prepared Jackie for school, trying to put the positivity in her brain, "Come on! You've got this!"

Jackie and Ally walked to their first class. Math, the worst subject out there. Luckily they had their favorite teacher, Ms. Thompson. While in class, the phone rang. Everyone looked up from their work hoping it was for them to be dismissed. Ms. Thompson made eye contact with Jackie and then hung up the phone. She came walking over to Jackie's desk.

"You're being dismissed, make sure you get this done for homework." Ms. Thompson said.

Jackie started to pack her things up. She was very confused on why she was being dismissed. 

"Luckyyyy!!!" The whole class yelled as Jackie walked out of the classroom.

Was everything okay? What happened? Is mom okay? So many questions ran through her head. She almost never was dismissed from school. The only times she was when she had an appointment or if someone from her family was in the hospital. The office lady waved bye to her as she walked out of the door and to her surprise saw her father staring at her with a smile, gesturing for her to come here.
