Miraculous Serum

The New Discovery

"What are you doing here?" Jackie asked as she opened the passenger seat door.

"I have a big surprise for you! At the science lab! You are going to love it!" He responded, excitement filling his face. 

He started driving. Jackie wasn't amused. For months she hasn't spent time with her dad, the only time she's seen him were after he got home from the lab around 11 pm when she had to go to sleep and when she woke up for school in the morning, he would already be gone. So why was he here now? What was so important he had to take her away from class?

"Listen, I know you aren't the happiest with me right now, but my job is important, and I've made a discovery you are going to love! That's what I'm showing you today!" Her father said, seeing that Jackie wasn't happy.

"More important than your daughter?" Jackie mumbled under her breath.

"What was that?" Her dad said, pulling into the science lab parking lot.

"Nothing." Jackie didn't want to hurt her dads feelings, even though he hurts her every day he's not there. She planned to put on a fake smile for whatever the surprise was.

They got out of the car and walked inside. Jackie had never been inside her fathers lab throughout the five years he's been working there. He was always too busy working on something new. "Something for her" he used to say, like it would make it better that he wasn't around. Now's the day, now is the day she gets to see what he kept choosing over her. 

She walked into the room. If you walked into a room that looked like this you could definitely tell it was a science lab. There were tubes running into other tubes with colorful liquids in each. There were blue lights running up the walls. It smelt of chemicals which she wasn't sure she should be breathing in.

Her father picked up a tube filled with a neon green serum. He took Jackie's hand and guided her to another room. In this room the lights were very bright and there was a chair in the middle like in the movies where they are the test subjects. 

"I can't belive I actually get to show you now!" Her father yelled in excitement. "Okay, so I know how much you love watching Miraculous." 

"Yeah, and?" He now had Jackie's full attention.

"I can hear you sometimes wishing you could meet them, or they were real, or how you could go to their world?"

"Yeah" Jackie replied, a little embarrassed.

"Well, what if I told you, for four years I've been working on a serum that let's you travel to different dimensions, including the Miraculous world?"

"No. Way. Now way! No way!" That's all Jackie could manage to get out. No way this was real. Was this actually happening?

"It still isn't certain, but I know nothing dangerous can harm you from it, so I was thinking, would you want to test-"

"Yes! Yes! Yes!" Jackie cut  him off, there was no way she was faking her smile now. 

She sat in the chair as he injected the serum. 

"All you have to do is think of the dimension you want to travel to, I'm going to put this serum in your pocket so when you are ready you can travel back to us. With the amount I gave you, you should be able to stay there for a week. No longer. I love you, see you soon."

He put a tube with neon purple liquid in her pocket. "I love you too dad." 

Everything in the room started to spin. It was making her dizzy so she closed her eyes. All of a sudden she felt a breeze, she opened her eyes to see her falling straight to the ground!

"Help! Help me!" She cried out.
