"Are you sure you feel well enough to go to the village?" Nunu asked Annie
Nunu stood by the entrance of the igloo. It was mid day, the sun was shining through the open hole in the roof. Not much time has passed since she took the medicine, but she already felt a hundred times better.
"I feel a lot better than before. I just want to get out of this igloo." Annie walked up next to Nunu.
"Alright! Lets go!" They both walked out of the igloo. Annie was still wearing Nunu's orange cloak. She insisted that she didn't need it saying that her fire magic kept her warm, but Nunu refused to take it back from her.
Nunu wore a slim leather vest over a gray, long sleeve shirt. The gloves he wore made his hands seem a lot bigger than what they actually were. They swung by his sides in rhythm of his footsteps as they made their way to a small snow forest.
"What are we going to do at the village anyway?" Annie asked. She matched her footsteps with Nunu.
"When I was at the village, there was a woman there selling clothes for children. I thought we could get you some clothes better suited for the cold."
"Won't it cost money? I don't have anything to give."
"Well, After you took a nap at camp, I went back to the burned carriage and grabbed some stuff to trade with." He shook his backpack which was filled to the brim with random different items. Annie could see a flute sticking out of the backpack, she wondered if he knew how to play the instrument. "—If you want me to, I can continue the story from earlier?"
"What story?" Annie asked
"You asked me to tell you another story. I barely started telling you one of my mom's stories before you passed out! That medicine must have made you really tired" Nunu said.
"Oh, I think I'd like to hear the story"
They continued walking forward on a small path. Mossy stepping stone lined the path. Nunu balanced on them jumping from rock to rock as he told Annie about one of the heroes of Freljord. He told her about a man named Braum and how he saved a young troll by carving through a mountain with just his fist.
As they continued forward, the forest started to thin out. Annie realized they were walking towards the familiar sound of rushing water.
The forest opened up to reveal a river. It was a lot like the river that was next to her old home. She remembered how she would have picnics with Daisy by the river.
Nunu kinda remind me of Daisy. Both of them always get excited over the smallest things.
Nunu looked down both ends of the river trying to remember where to cross. Annie stayed further away from the edge than Nunu but he didn't notice.
"I remember taking a small bridge to the village but I think I might know a shortcut!" Nunu skipped along the river's edge with Annie silently following him.
The river got slightly skinner as more rocks appeared to breach its surface. Nunu stopped in front of a line of rocks that went across the river. The water splashed against the rocks, their surface shiny from water and erosion.
