Chapter 3 - That never happened

Taehyung woke up in what seemed like a hospital room. The bed was uncomfortable and the lights were very bright. He opened his eyes fully and after squinting for a moment spotted 5 people in the room – Hoseok, Jimin, Seokjin, Namjoon and... Jungkook.

Suddenly he remembered what had happened before he passed out and realized why he was here. The memories of what had happened brought a faint blush on his cheeks.

He shut his eyes tightly again, but it was too late. Namjoon and Jimin had seen him.

"Tae, oh my god you're awake!" Jimin rushed to his side and everyone was alerted.

Taehyung opened an eye, but he had no choice but to open both his eyes as he was squeezed into a really, really tight hug by Jimin.

"Min, he can't breathe." Hoseok chided.

"Mianhae... But I was soo worried!! What happened back there?!" Jimin turned to Jungkook.

"Uhhh... English please?" Jungkook looked quizzically at Jimin.

"Right. Sorry. What happened back there?"

"Um... So he was leaning on the wall, and I went up to him to check if he was alright, but the moment he turned around, he..." As Jungkook trailed off, the blush on Taehyung's cheeks turned a deep shade of red.

"He?" Namjoon questioned with a raised eyebrow and folded arms.

"N-N-Nothing! I ju- I just fainted! Yeah! I fainted!" He frantically explained.

"Y-Yeah..." Jungkook played along.

"Anyway the doctor said you have food poisoning. Do you remember eating anything that didn't sit well with you?" Jin said.

"Food poisoning? Murugesso, I'm not sure..." Taehyung replied.

"Sigh. I leave you alone for one week and you do this to yourself." Namjoon shook his head.

With a sheepish laugh, Taehyung scratched the top of his head.

"Well, me and Hoseok have work to do, so we'll be going now." Jin said and he and Hoseok left.

"I have to go too... I'll see you two later. Call me and talk to me. If I find out you're spoiling your health again, I will smack you. Understood, you irresponsible child?"  Jimin chided Taehyung. 

"I'm not a child..." A pout made its way on to his face, making the three coo a little. Jimin hugged him before leaving.

This left Jungkook and Namjoon in the room.

"Sigh... Tae, if you were going to vomit all over this poor guy, you should have at least warned him before doing so." Namjoon unfolded his arms and sat on a couch in the room.

"W-Wait... you knew?!" Taehyung's eyes widened.

"I'm the one who found you first, duh. You were taking too long so I came to check, and I found you lying on the floor and Jungkook standing all flabbergasted with his shirt all dirty. Not gonna lie, that was hilarious."

"That never happened, okay?" Jungkook said in a pleading tone.

"Yeah, yeah..." Namjoon replied with a smile.

Taehyung felt the heat creeping up on his face again and looked at Jungkook. They made eye contact and Jungkook started blushing as well.

"Uh... S-Sorry about... that..." Taehyung was trying not to swoon again. The first time he met his favourite singer, he had puked all over him!!

"Don't worry about it... You were sick so I don't mind. And luckily I had a change of clothes in my car since I was coming from a recent concert..."

"The one at the lee stadium?" Taehyung blurted out and clasped a hand over his mouth.

Jungkook was surprised. "Yeah! How did you- oh..." He looked at Namjoon and realized. "Rapmon must have told you."

"Rapmon?" Taehyung giggled, and the sound made Jungkook feel butterflies in his stomach. "That's a cute nickname."

"Well, it's better than Rap Monster. Makes me sound scary." Namjoon rolled his eyes.

"You chose that name yourself. And yeah, it is pretty cute." Jungkook grinned.

"Since, you're awake, I'll go fill in the discharge papers." Namjoon left, and Jungkook sat down in Namjoon's place.

He took out his phone and started scrolling something. Taehyung took his chance to observe him.

Taehyung had seen plenty of photos, videos etc. of Jungkook, but he had never seen him in person. He had met a lot of celebrities through Namjoon - it seems he liked showing off his younger brother. But Namjoon was never close to Diamond Entertainment's artists, mostly because he had never gotten any chances to get closer to them. But Taehyung knew that he would capture their attention sometime or the other, and it seems that time had come.

He hadn't realized that Jungkook had looked up and caught him staring.

"You know... You're actually pretty familiar." Taehyung got surprised, and blushed a little.

"I am? How?" They had never met before, although Taehyung had been to a lot of Jungkook's concerts.

"Just a moment..." Jungkook started furiously scrolling and typing away on his phone, and then he exclaimed with a sudden 'aha!' before walking over and showing his phone to Taehyung.

"Isn't this you?" A video of Taehyung singing one of Jungkook's songs was playing, and Taehyung suddenly felt excited.

"Y-Yes! This is me!! You watch my videos?!" He almost started jumping on the bed.

"Yes! Someone shared this with me earlier, and I checked it out, and I really like it! Rapmon didn't tell me you were a singer!"

"I don't mind that he didn't. He probably wanted me to tell you myself. And by the way, I love your new Album, "All yours"*!! All the songs are really catchy and beautiful!"

"Thank you. I'm glad to know." Jungkook smiled his infamous bunny smile which enamoured taehyung.

"Time to go, kids." Namjoon was leaning on the doorframe with his arms folded, smiling at the two.

"You're not much older than us, you know." Jungkook replied.

"At least I don't behave like a kid..." Namjoon rolled his eyes and turned to leave. "Come on, I'll drive you both home."

Taehyung got up and the two followed after him.

They settled in the car. Jungkook was sitting in the back and Taehyung was sitting shotgun.

"That reminds me, you don't speak Hanggul?" Taehyung asked.

"I assume that means Korean. And, no, me and Jin hyung are half korean but we've been raised in the US only so we only speak English. And a little bit of French."

"Oh, wow. That's cool."

"Yeah. And by the way, Rapmon, your latest mixtape is absolute fire." Jungkook said while gesturing an explosion with his hands.

"Oh yeah! Betcha it's already reached 50 million views by now." Taehyung chimed in.

"I second that!" Jungkook leaned between the two front seats.

The chatter went on for the rest of the ride, and Namjoon happily listened to them chat like kids.
