Phil smiled as the boys ran ahead, Techno happily babbling as they ran through the lively forests. Sam was talking to him, but he wasn't listening, focused on Techno. The Piglin was bouncing up and down, showing them every part of the forest.

"Hello? Phil?" Sam asked, waving a hand in front of his face, causing him to snap back to reality, "I'm guessing you didn't hear me."

"Uh, no, sorry," Phil replied sheepishly as they arrived, Techno already dragging the boys to the garden.

Sam chuckled and shook his head, "I said that Fit's coming a bit later. The boys are sleeping outside, right? So I'll take the couch, and he can take the floor or something.

"Yeah, good luck getting Fit to sleep on the floor," Phil said with a smile, rolling his eyes, "He might make you sleep outside."

He unlocked the door, stepping inside. They set their books on the table as the boys ran in, Techno pulling them into his room. Phil chuckled and checked on them, Dream going through the books while Sapnap and Skeppy were looking at the view of the lake.

"Dad! Sleep outside, how?" Techno asked, tugging on his sleeve.

"I'll give you guys an old tent or tarp or something. What do you guys want for lunch?"

"It doesn't matter," Dream said, looking to him, "Whatever's easiest."

"Yeah, whatever's fine," Sapnap said, looking at him, "Why do you live in the forest?"

"I like it out here. It's quiet and peaceful," Phil said as Techno led the kids towards the living room.

"It seems boring," Skeppy mumbled.

"Well, I've had enough excitement to last me several lifetimes," he chuckled, following. He helped Sam finish organizing their documents, covering the kitchen table as four sets of feet ran out.

"So, you're cowardly?"

Phil stopped, holding the book over the table. He glanced at Sam, the younger continuing to sort. Dream stood in the doorway, his arms crossed.

"What?"

"You're cowardly. You fight off monsters, slay demons, slaughter enough to be considered an Angel of Death, but you draw the line at living in a town?" Dream scoffed, "You're pathetic."

Pathetic? I'm not pathetic... Am I?

Phil's mind went fuzzy as voices started to drown his thoughts out. His knees gave out, dully hearing Sam yell as he collapsed into the table, tightly gripping the ledge. He looked to the doorway in his daze, finding it empty.

Techno laughed as they ran towards the lake, Sapnap racing Dream. Skeppy tripped and tumbled down the hill, colliding into Techno's legs. They both started rolling, stopping at the base.

"Are you two okay?" Dream yelled, running to them. He arrived first, Sapnap reaching them a few seconds later. They helped the pair up, Skeppy dusting himself off as Techno started laughing.

"Again! Again!" Techno yelled, running up the hill. The boys looked at each other before following. They rolled down the hill a couple more times, eventually moving to sit on Phil's small dock.

The water was relatively peaceful, the boys watching the fish swimming under the dock. Sapnap and Skeppy had their feet in the water, making small ripples when they kicked. Dream was sitting behind them, staring at the water warily. Techno sat next to him, beginning to zone out as the voices became louder.

"Sword close," he mumbled, standing up. The trio looked at him confused as Techno scanned the water.

"What sword?" Dream asked, following his gaze.

Techno locked his gaze on a spot in the water. He turned and walked to the other end of the dock before running back towards them. They all scrambled out of the way as Techno made it to where they were sitting, jumping into the lake.

The sound of a second pair of feet echoed down the dock. Fit was running towards them, his stuff discarded at the bank. He dove in after Techno, Dream getting away from the splash.

"Boys!" Sam called, running down the hill with Phil, "What's going on! Are you okay!"

Sapnap scrambled up, "We don't know- Techno just jumped in and then Fit jumped in too and-"

There was splashing and sputtering as Fit pulled Techno above water. The Piglin squealed, flailing trying to stay afloat.

"I got you, Techno, don't worry," Fit said as he swam them back towards the dock, Sam helping him pull the Piglin up. Phil stood behind them dazed as he watched.

Techno bent over, coughing up water, "Wet- Wet bad-"

Fit sighed, "Let's get you boys inside."

Phil finally snapped back and smiled, "What do you boys want for lunch?"
