'Malicious Thoughts'

"Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the famous Escape Artist, Toshiro Elric!!" I walked onto the stage of the famous Talent Show, The Worlds Greatest Men and Women! It's my dream to walk up on that stage, and prove who I am! I'm Toshiro Elric, and I'm gonna be the greatest Escape Artist.

Judge #1 grabbed his microphone. "Hello Toshiro, how are you?" I smiled. "I'm great!" The man nodded. The 2nd judge then asked, "So where are you from, and what sticky situation are you going to show us today!"

I breathed out to stop my fast beating heart.

"Well, today I'll be locking myself in a septic tank with sand at the top. My hands will be tied and the glass door will be closed with a pick. I'll have to untie my hands, and unlock the lock in 30 seconds or less."

"Or what happens?" Judge #1 asked. I replied. "Or else the sand will drop and suffocate me to my death. The Judge bit his bottom lip. "Ok then, you may start now!" The crew pulled a septic tank from the right side of the stage, and opened up the glass door. They then tied my hand with a thick rope and pushed me in the cramp box. They then followed to close the glass door with a lock.

Small air holes were at the sides, so just in case there wasn't enough air, I had plenty more for me. I looked at the Judges and the crowd. Show time.

"3!

2!

1!

GO!"

I then started to untie the rope around my wrists, and in a matter of seconds, the rope was off, I picked up the hairpin on the ground of the septic tank, and started to unlock the chain.

"10 seconds remaining!"

I pushed up the hairpin, and followed the directions.

"Left, Top, Bottom Left, Right, Top Right, Top," I whispered, moving the hairpin in those directions. "Chink!" The lock came out. I smiled, but as I tried to move the glass door, it was jammed shut. My eyes widened, as I saw the timer on the screen.

'5 seconds!'

I banged on the glass, harder and harder, but it wouldn't budge. There wasn't enough room for me to make a big impact. The Judges stood up now, getting their phones in case.

Then, 8 pounds of sand fell on my face, suffocating me, to my death.

. . .

"Toshiro! You better come down here soon! Supper's going to get cold!" The familiar voice of my mother aroused him. I found myself in a small bed, but no attention was given to it. I slammed the door open and almost fell down the stairs in front of me. I practically jumped down the whole staircase and turned left.

"Mom?"

She turned to me, "Good morning Toshiro! How'd you like your nap?" My eyes widened. "Wait, but... How?" My mother turned her head in confusion. "What? Are you ok Toshiro? You still might be sleepy?" I took in the details of my mom. Her long hair which reached her waist. Her beautiful blue eyes. It was as if I was reliving my life, but in a different setting.

I suddenly took in more features of my mother. Better back posture. No wrinkles on her hand or face. I became astonished as I looked at my hand. I - It was tiny! I ran down the hall, only to come back to my confused mother. "Mom! Where's the restroom?" She just stared. "Toshiro, are you-"
