I was awakened by Liam rubbing my shoulders.
"Daisy, wake up." I open my eyes and once I realize where I am, I freeze.
"Is Ali okay? Has she been questioned? Did you see her?"
"Calm down. We are going to find that out right now."
Christina and Jordan were sitting across from me and Liam holding Max and the twins. Mike was having a very heated argument with the lady at the desk.
"Why can't I see her?" Mike asked.
"Because, young man, she is being questioned right now! Can you please calm down and take your seat?"
"No I will not calm down! Detectives show up at my girlfriends house and arrest her for no reason! An then I get here and I'm told that I can't see her because she's being questioned? What kind of place is this anyway? I mean sure-"
A detective wake out of a room to the left of the desk.
"Could I talk to Daisy Aguilera?"
I look at the man. And then at Christina.
"Shouldn't you have a warrant to be able to talk to my daughter?" Christina asked, obviously agitated.
"Ma'am, it's just a few questions about Alison." He explained.
"Mom. It's fine." I cut in. I gave Liam my phone and followed the detective into the room.
Ali wasn't there. There was just a long silver table with 3 chairs on each side, and no doubt there was people on the other side of one of the walls watching and listening to everything I do, like in the movies. I was directed to a seat while a guard closed, and locked the heavy metal door.
"I am Detective Holden. I just need to know a few things about Alison and how she found you. When did you and Alison first meet?"
"January, 3 years ago."
"Where?"
"On The Voice. I was coaching in place of Christina and she auditioned in LA."
"And why were you filling in for Christina?"
"She was hurt the night before. She was stabbed by a girl that ended up being on my team, Elizabeth."
"Has Alison ever seemed dangerous?"
"Where are these questions even coming from? What does Ali's behaviour even have to do with her getting adopted by Christina and Jordan?"
"Well Miss Daisy, it seems this case has gotten a little farther than just running away from her grandparents. I'm talking fraud, murder."
"I know Ali! She is not capable of murder! I'm done here. You said a few questions. Time is up."
Before I am able to get out the door, the detective grabs my arm.
"Just remember, some people aren't who they seem to be."
