I was just looking back at the first book and i realized that i never named the twins! So the girl is Avery Jackelyn Aguilera and the boy is Alex Benjamin Aguilera.

Ali has been I jail for 2 weeks now. She is being kept there until her court date in a few days. Apparently they can't just send her home on house arrest until then because she is dangerous. I'm really not sure what the police have against her in a murder. They haven't even told us anything. We don't know who she supposedly murdered, or when, or even why they only arrested her now if the investigation has been ongoing for months. I also don't know how this turned into her being in trouble for running away from our grandparents to being a person of interest in a murder. She was sent to the police maybe to get sent back to her grandparents and the next minute she's being shipped off to a high security prison for criminals.

Christina has been a mess. She's been staying in her room for days at a time, and calls the station once an hour to see if they have any news. Despite me being sad, I have been taking care of the twins, and Max while Jordan's at work. It's been tough because every now and then one of them will ask where their big sister is and I have to lie and tell them she's on a vacation or something. I don't think Max buys my lies by the look on his face. Avery and Alex are 3 now. Alex follows Max and Jordan around everywhere, learning how to be a 'big boy'. Avery likes to play alone in her room with her dolls and act like a young lady around everyone else.

Today, Avery and Alex are watching Frozen when the phone rings.
"Hello?"
"Hello this is Detective Holden, is Christina there?" My heart lifts the slightest bit.
"She's busy at the moment. I'm her daughter could you leave a message?"
"Is this Daisy?"
"Yes."
"I have some news on Ali's case. Would you be able to come to the station?"
"Ya, sure I'll be right over."
I called the neighbor Emma, and asked her to watch the twins for an hour. I drove slowly to the station making sure to stop at red lights and stop signs, and drive at the limit. All the while I was thinking about what the detective could want to tell me. Would he say that there had been a mistake and Ali was innocent? Would he tell me that Ali didn't even get a court date, that they had to much evidence and they would just lock her up? As I pulled up to the building, I was preparing myself for the worst. I walked in and saw the same lady at the desk as before. Just as I was about to ask if he was ready for me, she pointed to the same room as I had went to before. Detective Holden was standing right on the other side of the door.
"Thank you for coming."
"No problem what information do you have?"
"I would tell you but I think there is someone that would rather do that for me."
He stepped aside to reveal a very beaten up looking Ali.
"Oh my gosh." I gasped. She had a black eye an she looked like she hadn't eaten in a week. Her neck and arms had bruises all over them.
"Hi." She whispered.
"Hi."
