After a successful talk with Amber and convincing her to change her immature ways, I headed off to work silently in the dark night. Ty and Amber were distracted doing whatever girls do, so it was pretty damn easy to sneak off to work without leaving any footprints. I was dressed for the occasion in a  luxurious red suit and black tie, because Klover won't allow black suits and red ties, and admired Greed's Gamble as it came into my view.

Finally after some more tiring walking, I entered the casino and was immediately greeted by my pals sitting at our table. The boss was in his usual velvet throne, looking at me with a smirk.

"Ah, Marshall, my boy. Come have a seat, you're gonna be in the spotlight tonight."

Thrown off by his comment, I sat myself down in my chair across from Dom who was also looking at me with a confident smirk.

"Why am I so special tonight?"
"I'm glad you asked. But, I'm not gonna answer that just quite yet."

With a grin, the boss leaned in a spoke in a quiet tone, "You know that woman I gambled with a few nights ago?"
Dom, with a chuckle, replied, "The one who kicked your ass?"
The boss snapped back, "Ay, it was worth it to have her break my streak, now shut your trap."

I vividly remember that night, it was terrifying to see her eyes glow red and reel him in like a wild dog being teased with juicy, tender meat. He bet all of his money just to see her excitement rise through the roof and get every cent out of his wallet. She was a psychopath, an absolute compulsive gambler. I try my best to forget how she gazed into the boss's eyes with such an eloquent aura, but it doesn't do a thing. I was lucky enough to get picked as the dealer for their match, so I guess it can't be helped.

Forgetting the trauma the boss's new little toy gave me, he continued, "Well, after our little match, I took her back to my office for a little...rematch."
"Yo, boss! You still got it after all this time!" Dom said with glee.
"You're damn right, and it was amazing."

Guess I'll never be able to go into his office ever again without thinking of how he...nevermind.

Tired of their act and disgusted, I said, "Would you two shut up about that already?"

They looked at me with a stern look like I had ruined the fun. Not my fault that I'm the youngest here and don't wanna hear about the boss's fun with women.

The boss sighed and looked at me, "Anyways, since you don't want to hear about what's going on in your old man's life, I'll go on to tell you why you're so special tonight."
"About time."
"You'll be meeting someone dear to me and you'll be meeting someone dear to Dom."
"Really? Is that all?"
"They're great, you'll love them. You need a new friend, so maybe you'll like my pal, Quip."
Dom chimed in saying, "And my daughter is the sweetest. She's an angel, you've got nothing to worry about Marsh."
"Don't call me Marsh."

I wasn't really in the mood to meet anyone new. I had already reunited with an old friend today and we know how that went, absolutely terrible. But, it's my boss, might as well trust his word. We weren't sure when they'd arrive, so they had a few drinks and I just had some water while we waited.

Eventually with enough patient and sanity, they had arrived. But as soon as I saw them, I knew this wouldn't end well for anyone.
