Sirius couldn't help but stare, it had become a habit. Who was to blame him when there was something so beautiful to look at. Those soft golden curls that rest perfectly on his forehead, just brushing into his eyes. His eyelashes fluttering open and closed, it didn't help that the afternoon sun had just seeped into the marauders dorm-room, splashing against his soft skin. As he delicately turned the pages of his book, his expression changed which told Sirius that something interesting was going on. He had just started to bite his lip, trying to hold back a laugh which Sirius thought was the cutest thing-

"Hey! Earth to Padfoot!"

oh yeah. Sirius was supposed to be listening to James talk on and on about quidditch. Hey! Its not his fault there was something more interesting currently in the room!

"Yeah, sorry I was listening!" Sirius tried to explain

"fine then, what did I say?" James cocked his eyebrow awaiting an answer from him.

He was screwed, he hadn't really been listening at all. He would either have to tell the truth about falling in-love with his best-friend! or guess whatever bizarre thing James was talking about!

Of course he chose to guess.

"Um... well... you where talking about quidditch..."

"go on..." James insisted.

"Then you started talking about Evans." Sirius said rather confidently.

"oh... maybe you where listening." James said, surprised.

Sirius had got away with it, or so he thought.

"But you where staring at something..." James said while turning around to see whatever Sirius was so intently looking at.

Sirius grabbed James by the shoulders to stop him turning around and realizing what (or who) he was staring at.

"what are you doing?" James asked, shocked at the sudden reaction from Sirius.

"I... uh... do you wanna go practice on the quidditch pitch?" Sirius was sure that if James and him went out to the quidditch pitch, it was sure to get his mind of that certain someone.

"Ok?" James replied skeptically, but of course thrilled to get some more practice in before the upcoming quidditch match.

The two boys got changed and grabbed their gear before heading down to the quidditch pitch. Once they had reached the common room, James suddenly remembered he forgot his broom repair kit. (he usually spent half an hour, after they had finished practice to 'fix' his broom) So he headed back up to their dorm room to grab it and told Sirius to wait in the common room for him.

Sirius sat on the couch near the fire with his broom by his side. After about five minutes of waiting, Sirius heard James' familiar footsteps walking towards him. He turned around to find James with his 'Quidditch repair kit' in one hand and his broom in the other. But it wasn't just James that stood in front of Sirius...

"What are you doing? I thought you didn't like flying?" Sirius said, a bit alarmed. The only reason Sirius was going to the quidditch pitch in the first place was to get his mind of him! And now he was joining them!

"I invited him." James said, smiling. He flung his arm around Remus, who was looking at his feet, a bit embarrassed. Maybe there was something James knew that Sirius didn't...

"Besides, he said he was just going to sit in the stands and read. isn't that right Remus?" James said, turning to look at Remus.

Remus just nodded and looked up at Sirius, meeting his eyes. Sirius could now see that Remus had a thick layer of blush spread across his cheeks. 'God he's cute' Sirius thought to himself.

"Padfoot? Sirius!?" James started to wave his hand in Sirius face in an attempt to bring him back to the current moment.

Crap! Sirius had been staring! Remus had been in the room for less than two minutes, and Sirius was already gawking over him! This was going to be a long year...

That's the end of the first chapter! Sirius can't keep his eyes off Remus ;)! Thankyou soo much for reading and make sure to stick around for the next chapter!
