Roger 'Ray' Smith chewed down hard on his pill, breaking it. A strong taste of mint washed over his mouth. A stimulant. He always took one a few minutes before going into action. He was sitting on a NFAD, a nuclear-fueled aviary device. The green tinted machine looked like a stunted helicopter. Two rotor blades sat on top, generating lift and, instead of a tail with a rotor, it had two small jets. It had been made by Mr. Dupris using the remains of three military helicopters; only two of these NFADs existed. With two pilots, it had a passenger capacity of six. Three of the seats were currently empty, the other three occupied by Ray and his squad companions Douglas, named 'big D' for short despite its double meaning, and Cole, the newest one to the squad. At 192cm, he was the tallest of the three, although he wasn't as broad as Ray. “Two minutes to target,” said a voice in Ray's ears. The headset he wore was connected to all the other passengers. “Listen up squad. Latest drone surveillance has revealed that one of the targets is on the roof. No news about the other two. Three confirmed tangos on the roof, and likely more inside,” said Ray.

The NFAD buzzed in the sky towards the not-so-abandoned Massachusetts hospital.
