Chi rushed to his father's house. It was already late and Yuan still had not returned home. Chi walked directly towards the bedroom's door. It was still locked and slight movement could be heard coming from within. Without saying a word, Chi kicked the door open.

A hideous puppy was tied to the leg of a cabinet, jumping up and down. The broken vase fragments were still scattered on the ground. The puppy started to bite frantically when he saw Chi. Exactly the same as the situation Yuan described at noon.

If Chi didn't understand Yuan sufficiently, he would have been mistaken for thinking that he was wrong.

He stared at the clear scratches on the railing of the bed. His heart filled with regret as he remembered the strange sounds he had heard earlier during the day.

Chi Cheng could even imagine Wu's struggling movements and expressions, which must of been anxious, painful and helpless. He must have been begging to be able to push the door open so that Chi could see him tied to the bed with bruises all over his body.

Chi was stuck against the door like a nail, torturing and punishing his own heart harshly.

After a long time, he dialled Yuan's number.

The call was answered by an assistant.

"Hello, Secretary-General Chi is meeting with important guests. If you are in a hurry, you can tell me and I will pass on your message later."

Chi stern face was covered with frost.

"You tell him to look after himself for me."

"That's..."

Chi said nothing else and hung up the phone.

After the assistant finished taking Chi's call, she walked into the room with a grave face. Yuan was watching the doctor apply medicine to Wu's wounds.

She entered quietly and whispered into Yuan's ear. Yuan's facial expression changed abruptly and the two left the room.

"What exactly did he say?" Yuan asked.

The assistant uncomfortably said "He only said one sentence."

"What was it ?"

"He... he told you to take care of yourself."

Yuan's face paled with anger, and his mouth spoke one word.

"BEAST!"

Chi Yuan was, however, still the Secretary-General. After returning to the room with a kind face and caring face, he disinterestedly asked the doctor about Wu's condition.

"Except for ligament strains in the ankle, the rest are all just skin injuries. Should be fine in a few days."

Yuan responded to the doctor "sorry for troubling you, it is already late and you are still running around."

"You are too kind; I ought to be running around."

After the assistant and the doctor left the room, only Wu and Yuan remained.

Wu Suowei begged Chi Yuan, "Uncle, please, let me go! Our company has just accepted a big project, it can't be done without me!"

"Don't you have Chi helping you take care of things? You should take this opportunity to catch your breath."

Wu's father-in-law seemed to be clear on everything.

Wu laughed "I cannot tire out your son!".

Yuan asked back rhetorically "Are you less tired?".

Wu was speechless and could only silently count the sheep in his heart.
