XLII • You will be always my happiness

The following chapters are flashbacks of Y/n

The sun has finally shone upon us again.

Third Person's POV

After their emotional outburst yesterday, Draco is laying on his bed. Happily staring at Y/n as she knitted him another cardigan.

He smiled at her and secretly took a photo of her. He chuckled softly making Y/n glance at him.

"Do you need anything love?" She asked and he disagreed. Draco reached for her hand and smiled

"I got what I need. You" It made Y/n blush—she playfully rolled her eyes and continued knitting. She hummed and he rested

It wasn't their dream to end up like this. But it's bearable and enough for them—at least they've got each other's back now. And finally agreed to have a second chance.

A knock interrupted the two—Y/n stood up to open the door and it reveals their friends—Blaise, Pansy, and Adrian.

Y/n herself still feels guilty for breaking up with Adrian but for him, it doesn't bother him that much. Cause Adrian knew to himself that he still loves her—and love is about letting go too.

"We didn't expect you to be here," Pansy said, lifting the awkwardness in the air, she chuckled softly and smiled

"Things changed—come on in. Draco's currently resting" She said, opening the door for them. For once, she was happy to see the sight of her friends and Draco—being together again and being happy.

In the end, everything happens for a reason to her—and she will continue to believe that.

"Hey" Y/n turned around to see Adrian, smiling at her as if it wasn't awkward at all.

"Hey," she said, still feeling guilty about what she did. Adrian patted her head and chuckled.

"I know that look doll. Don't pull that feeling—it wasn't your fault or mine. People come and go"

"Thanks...I'm really sorry though, for breaking our engagement" She said and looked down on her tea. Both sat at the dining with silence eating them.

"I always knew that you and Draco would still end up together—but I am happy that I got a chance to have a relationship with you."

"I wish nothing but happiness to you both...Seeing you happy is my priority, it sounds weird but it's love" Y/n smiled and hugged him, tightly as she could. Adrian chuckled and hugged his doll for the last time.

"I love you doll...you were and always be my happiness. I'm your Winter Soldier, I always got your back till the end of the line" Adrian whispered to her ear. Y/n nodded at him and hugged him once more

"What are you doing?" Draco asked her confusingly as Y/n removed her top. She playfully chuckled at him and grabbed a pair of sleepwear.

"Changing my clothes...I moved in, well it's your mum's idea for me to move in" Y/n said and changed her clothes. She took her old ones to the laundry outside his room. While she was walking, she noticed a huge Malfoy Tapestry.

Each name was carved into the wall, she's even surprised to see hers and her daughter's name. She touched the green fabric and stared at its beauty.

"It was my father's idea, to engrave your name and Winter's. He said that even though things have gone in a bad way, he wanted your name to be there" Y/n looked at him with a pure smile written on her face, her heart fluttered on his statement and she looked back at the tapestry

"Funny thing because, we have the same thing—but ours is a moving tree. The only flaw of that is, when someone broke with us, it withers—but when we fell in love again flowers bloom" She said and smiled at him.

Draco held her hands and faced her towards him. He caressed her cheeks and spoke

"I'm sorry for all those lies, the pain that I have caused you. The misery you carried for years. I'm sorry...for all of those"

"I forgive you Draco...and you only did it to protect me, to make me happy. But the thing is, you are my happiness. You will always be my happiness" Draco smiled at her and rested his forehead towards her, she cupped his cheeks and placed a gentle kiss on his lips.

"I promise...I will do everything to survive and be with you till our very last breath"
