Casey's POV:
As the ambulance pulls up to Chicago Med, I open the door and hop out. I help Brett rush the gurney in. The nurses grab the gurney, and run to the examination room and of course I couldn't follow so I went to the waiting room with Brett and Mills. I walk into the waiting room and see Severide sitting there with a bandage wrapped around his head.
CASEY: Severide you okay?
SEVERIDE: Yea, doctor said minor concussion from hitting the pavement. I'll be good for next shift.
CASEY: Good, glad you're okay.
SEVERIDE: How's Gabby?
CASEY: She had a weak pulse when we got her on the ambo and is unconcious.
*Rest of House 51 walks into the waiting room*
BODEN: Severide how ya doing?
SEVERIDE: I'm good chief! Minor concussion will be good for next shift.
BODEN: Good. *looks at Casey* How's Dawson doing?
CASEY: She had a weak pulse on the ambo and was unconcious, shes in the examination room. Haven't heard anything since.
DOCTOR: House 51?
*Everyone stands up*
DOCTOR: Gabriells's vitals are close to being stable but im sorry to say she's in a coma and as of right now its a 50% chance she'll wake up.
I couldn't believe what the doctor said. I dropped to my knees, I can't lose the girl I love.
CASEY: *looks up at the doctor* Can I see her please?
DOCTOR: Sure, I'll walk you to her room.
I walked into her room. It was quiet with the only noise being all the machines she was hooked up to. I sat in the chair next to her bed and held her hand. I started to cry realizing I might never get to talk to the love of my life again. I fell asleep in the chair holding her hand.
Two hours later the rest of the house went back to the firehouse and let Casey stay with Gabby.
I woke up to a familiar voice.
GABBY: Casey...Casey....Casey, wake up.
Casey: Gabby, you're awake!
GABBY: Yea, what are you doing here?
CASEY: I was waiting for you to wake up. I need to confess something.
