They arrived at number 12 Grimmauld place in a puff of smoke. Coughing and spluttering they exited the fireplace into a dark room.

"Papa where are we?" The 15 year old asked with confusion.

"Our new home. I wasn't expecting it to be so dark and dingy let me just-" Remus pulled out his wand and cast lumos. "Sirius!" he called out. But no response. "Come on Lils, let's look around, shall we?" Juniper smiled at the nickname.

As she was growing up she would always ask about her Aunty Lily and Uncle Prongs. Her father would tell her lots of stories about their adventures as the marauders and how her Uncle James chased after her Aunty Lily for years, trying to get her to go on a date with him and how, in their final year, she gave in. She knew her father missed his best friends, and her mum. She had been told briefly about her Uncle Padfoot and Uncle Wormtail, and how she was not to speak of her Uncle Pads. She was told how he murdered her family and left her dad all alone, without any friends. But she didn't want to think of that now.

She followed him out of the dark room, and into a slightly brighter corridor. You could see a brighter light coming from down the stairs and into the hallway below, where her father was leading her. "Sirius!" Remus called out once again. She wondered who this Sirius was, and what he was doing here.

They reached the door which was illuminated from behind and as her father reached for the door handle, she stopped him. "Wait, Papa where are we? Why is it so dark and quiet, why does it smell so musty?" she asked.

Remus sighed and turned around facing his not so little girl. "Juniper, we're at our new home, remember I told you we were moving? And as for why it's dark, quiet and smells bad, i'm not sure" he sighed. He hated that Juniper forgot things, it broke his heart. He turned around and opened the door ahead of them.

Behind the door was a bright dining room that seemed to be converted into a kitchen dining, as it had a small stove tucked away on one of the walls with a counter on either side, one with a small sink in. In the middle of the room was a long dining table that looked like it could seat at least 10 people at once.

Juniper then quickly hid behind her father once she saw at the head of the table, holding what seemed to be a glass of strong alcohol and reading a copy of the daily prophet was a man whose facial features Juniper couldn't quite make out due to a dark spot which happened to be right over him. He heard them walk in and looked up with a scared expression which soon turned to joy as he stood up.

"Remus?! I thought you weren't coming until tomorrow, blimey the days seem to pass me by, if it weren't for the prophet I wouldn't know what month we were in!" The man smiled as he walked over to Remus and brought him into a huge bear hug. Juniper took this opportunity to hide behind the door frame and out of sight of this stranger. Deciding it wasn't enough she climbed up a few stairs away from her fathers viewpoint too.

"It's good to see you again my old friend, I'm sorry I couldn't visit as often as I would've liked" Remus spoke. He really did miss his best friend.

"It's all good Moony, now I thought you were bringing your little wolf with you? Did you make other arrangements? You know I have plenty of room for you both and the others" Sirius questioned.

"Oh Juniper was right behind me I swear. Lils, where are you, can you come here please angel!" he called out. Juniper hesitantly came slowly and softly down the stairs. She had not met many people in her lifetime, only a few nannies while Remus was away on work, and a few people who walked through the meadows near their house, she normally was fine, but somehow knowing she was going to be living with someone else, who would have to get to know her scared her. Would he make fun of her for forgetting?

She stood on the last step hesitantly. "Lil's Come here, I'd like you to meet someone" her father asked. She slowly walked beside her father and peered at the stranger in front of her. He walked over to her and stuck out his hand.

"Hello!" he said. "I'm Sirius Black. Pleasure to remeet you" he laughed. Juniper slowly shook his hand before responding. "Juniper Lily Theodora Lupin, but papa calls me Juniper or Lils, so you don't need to call me by my full name, Juniper will do."

Sirius laughed. "She's the double of Em, but she has your attitude Moony" Juniper was confused, she had heard that name before, but not in years.

"She does have parts of my personality, but you should hear how she talks about animals Padfoot, she's exactly like Em was at school. Remember how she always helped out hagrid?" Both men laughed as they remembered the old times.

Suddenly a memory hit Juniper. "Uncle Pads, Papa Moony, Uncle Prongs, Uncle Worms" she didn't even know what she was saying, she was in a daze like state.

Remus and Sirius had now bent down to her short level of 5'4 and were gaping at her. "What did you just say Lil's" Remus asked.

Juniper snapped out of her daze and looked back and forth between the two men. She then pointed at Sirius and said "Uncle Pads" and then pointed towards her father "Papa Moony". Both men were dumbfounded. How did she remember, she hadn't called them that since she was three.

"Uncle Prongs was Uncle James and Uncle Worms was Uncle Peter. I miss Uncle Peter, he always brought me chocolate fro-"

"DON'T YOU DARE TALK ABOUT HIM IN A GOOD WAY, HE IS A TRAITOR AND A MONSTER AND NOT YOUR UNCLE I AM!" Sirius interrupted her.

Juniper stood there, frightened beyond her wits, she was trying to hold in her tears. "Padfoot! She doesn't know, don't yell at her!" Remus reprimanded.

"Oh... oh shit, bollocks, fuck!" Sirius cursed, trying not to swear. "I'm sorry June, I didn't mean to lose my temper, there's just lots you don't know about him"

"It's okay, I forget things so I probably just forgot, I'm sorry for upsetting you," Juniper hugged Sirius. "How about we go and unpack your new room huh? I even have a gift for you" Sirius asked. Juniper nodded and the two made their way up to Juniper's new room.

After a few hours, the room had been decorated and Juniper had written everything down in her notebook. Sirius had just sat her down on her bed and asked her to close her eyes.

"No peeking" he said. He then walked out of the room and got her present. He came back and stood in front of her, holding the box. "And open!"

Juniper opened her eyes and spotted her uncle holding a Muggle-brand shoebox. "Nike" she muttered curiously.

"No" Sirius laughed. "Open it"

She opened it and gasped. The box obviously had an undetectable extension charm on it. She pulled out a stack of Queen records to add to her collection, a pile of Queen piano books, and a microphone, all signed by Freddie Mercury himself. Juniper had recently gotten really into the band, but got really upset when she found out the lead singer, Freddie Mercury, died.

"That was his Microphone, I had once snuck out to a Queen concert with your dad and James and we camped out for hours to try and meet them, surprisingly they loved us and invited us to the afterparty where the King himself gave me all of this! It's only right you have it"

Juniper could have cried, no she did cry. But instead of hugging her uncle, she ran to her notebook, opened it to the page that she dedicated to her uncle, and wrote; "Uncle Pads is the best uncle ever, and is my favourite (Uncle Prongs is a close second though). Then she ran and hugged him.

"Oh Uncle Pads, Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" he then pointed out a door that she didn't notice before, next to her bookshelf. The door led into another room, where a piano and microphone stand were, as well as bass, electric and acoustic guitars. She squealed and hugged her Uncle so hard it hurt. "I love it Uncle pads Thank you!" She then ran to her bedroom door and called her father. She showed him her room, bathroom and music room.

They then explored the rest of the house. Remus was so happy seeing his little girl this joyous. He also noticed that this was the longest her memory had stuck.
