IT ALL STARTED WITH A DETENTION

CHAPTER FOUR:I LIKE HER

ASHER'S POV:

I was home pretty early today.

I received a text from Brandon while I was about to go shower..

Brandon: Hey bruh!! What's up??

Me: Hey buddy!!! Nothing is up except the roof of my house.

Brandon: LOL... Coming for the party right, Captain???

Me: Obvio, How can I even miss it?.

Brandon: That's my boy! Okay. See you soon .Bye.

It still feels strange when Brandon calls me Captain.

Yes, you guessed it right.

I am now the official captain of our football team.

The party is at Brandon's house. As the whole school knows, he is a rich kid. He is hosting the party for the fifth time this semester. And for god sake, this semester started last month. I am not that party-type kind of boy but I can't tell 'NO' for the only person who is my friend now on and off team.

I showered and got dressed, wearing black jeans with a white t-shirt and a black leather jacket. I combed my hair and ruffled it a bit to look good. I took my keys and drove off to Brandon's place which was few blocks away from my house

When I stopped my Buggatti near the parking area, the feel of the party was evident from quite a distance. The sound was blaring.

Then came Brandon who was a bit tensed.

"Hey, Bruh! Was waiting for you" said Brandon with a worried voice.

"Hello, Looking, handsome man! Quite ready to propose Emily? By the way, is she coming?" I asked with a hope to know the answer whether Arohi was coming or not.

"Emily is already there but Arohi had an emergency to attend, so she didn't come", He said with an anxious voice.

In the past two weeks,I have grown to like Arohi inspite of the glares she sends in my direction.

I felt sorry when I heard that she was grounded at home.

I was hoping to talk to her and mend my relationship with her in this party.

Feeling disheartened, I entered the house, which looks like a replica to mine. It was sturdy three-storeyed house and a beautiful garden with a fountain in the center. The hallway had pearl white colored walls. The furniture made of black wood was plastered making the interior look Classic.

The party hall was crowded with people. Many were dancing to the background music.

After an hour or so, I literally got bored. I talked to my teammates and went upstairs to get some air.

As I entered ,I saw two people talking and laughing in the balcony next to Brandon's room. The girl whose back is turned to me was wearing a black knee length bodycon dress. Her blonde hair was left open with loose curls dangling on her back.

The boy whom she is talking to was smiling and having a good time.I didn't wanted to disturb their privacy,so I turned to leave.

As I was about to leave,the girl tilted her face facing me which made me dumbstruck.

Arohi...

What on earth was she doing here?

She was looking damn sexy in her black dress. She had applied some eyeliner making her already beautiful hazel eyes to look more mysterious and magical and her lips were painted red. She wore black high heel wedges which gave an awesome look to her smooth, bare, long legs.

Why the hell did Brandon lie to me?

Boiling with anger at what I just saw, I went downstairs.

I had to forget this and had to take Emily to the stage as planned by Brandon. I was glad when he trusted me and asked me to do this which I gladly accepted.

I found Emily talking to Ryan and a girl who stood next to him. I closed Emily's eyes from behind as planned and asked her to do as I say.

She agreed and came along.

I led her towards the stage and slowly backed off, leaving a very stunning looked, Emily.

Everyone was just standing and watching with wide eyes. Then came Brandon, holding a bouquet of roses ready to confess his feelings to Emily which was built since the day he joined this school Six years back.
Six years of feeling which would at last will have a happy start.

Brandon was a great friend whom I always look upto.We grew close in the past two weeks and I was in suprise when he poured out his feelings on Emily to me.He was not even bothered about the fact that I was the captain of the football team now.

He bent down on his knee bringing roses of all the colors symbolizing his every thought, his wish of future with a girl whom he admired for six whole years, more than anything else. His face was full of worried expression but his posture screamed confident.

The scene witnessed was breathtaking.

All the party was suddenly stopped, everyone were witnessing the scene unfolding in front of them with both, disbelief and jealousy of not being in Emily's place.

Then came his words to her saying

"I confess to you that I have liked and admired you from the day I saw you .You are one of a kind. That's the reason that made me fall for you. You are a dream come true which makes each and every single day of my humble existence amazing and blissful. You have come to my life unannounced and I was completely struck when I realized that you are the person I have been waiting for my whole life.

I have known you for six long years. Your happiness is what means to me a lot. When our eyes met for the first time, my heart skipped a beat. I cannot even think of living without you. Meeting you was fate, but falling in love with you was beyond my control.

WILL YOU BE MINE FOREVER?" asked Brandon with a spark in his eyes.
