THIRD PERSON POV

"Jasmina, Jasmina beta, kya ho gaya hai?" Fatima panicked. She had been woken up by the sounds of her daughter-in-law screaming, and had rushed to her bedroom.

"Dear, what happened?"

Crying loudly, Jasmina was a mess.

"Breathe, calm down." Fatima held her down by her shoulders. "Beta, calm down." She recited Ayat-ul-Kursi and blew it over Fawad's wife. In the cot, Iman was crying, startled by her mother's screams, and Fatima could even hear Hania crying in the nursery.

"Jasmina..." Fatima panicked when she saw the girl struggling to breathe. "Beta, relax. Please stay calm." She got into her professional mode to get the poor girl to relax, but Jasmina seemed to be very distressed about something, potentially a nightmare. But what could have shaken her up so badly?

And then when Fatima's Bahu started to have difficulty breathing, she knew that Jasmina needed medication, the ones that can only be supplied by a paramedic or at the hospital.

She rushed to grab her phone and call 999.

Fatima couldn't go with Jasmina in the ambulance because she had to look after her terrified granddaughters.

"Mama." Hania kept repeating.

"I need to call Fawad." Fatima spoke almost to herself as she got her phone from the side table. She and the girls were seated on the living room sofa, and Fatima was holding onto the angels protectively.

She dialled her son's number, wondering how to explain this situation as calmly to him without freaking him out. He was absolutely madly in love with his wife, and he would drive back straight away if he heard about her condition.

"Assalam Alaikum, Ammi." He answered sleepily. "Are you okay? Everything okay at home?"

"Fawad, beta, don't panic, but Jasmina has been taken to the hospital. She had a severe anxiety attack, I feel. I'm at home with the girls."

"What?!" His voice rose. "I'm coming."

"Fawad, come in the morning, beta. It's very late."

"I don't care, Ammi. I'm on my way." He was stubborn as usual. He was always stubborn when it was about family.

"Fawad, please drive carefully. For Jasmina's sake." Fatima spoke softly.

"I will. Just, let me know if they update you from the hospital."

"Don't worry." Fatima reassured him.

Fawad

Mina suffered from anxiety. I was well aware of that. But she was fine when I left. What could have happened after I left that made her end up in the hospital.

I drank strong black coffee to keep me awake as I drove back home. It was nearing Fajr now, and I still had around two hours before I reached the hospital. I made a stop at services to pray Fajr, because who else could help me get through this difficult time than Allah? I made duas for my wife's health, as hard as I had when she'd almost died while giving birth to Iman.
