Amrita's Point Of View
⁕⁕⁕
Amrita smiled to herself for perhaps the seventh time in the past minute. Jhanvi groaned on cue, "What the hell? Have you gone nuts?"
Amrita dismissed the barbing comment with another smile, she'd wondered if he'd bother trying to find her. She wondered what he thought of her. She wondered a lot of things about herself, and she felt giddy. She felt like she was floating on a fluffy cloud eating ice cream. Was this love?
She shook the thought out of her head, more like a crush. Humming to herself, she draped his hoodie around her. "Ammu?" Jhanvi's voice came from the kitchen. A sigh released from her lips.
Why did she have to room with such a pestering alien?
"What the hell is this?" Jhanvi stuck Amrita very own phone a few inches away from her face, on the lit up screen there was a message. 'Hello, I am KL Rahul.' Her eyes widened, shit!
"Give me that-" She reached for the phone, Jhanvi raised it above her head and farther away from her. "No. Not until you explain what's going on."
Amrita's pouted, Jhanvi's tell-me-or-I'll-flush-it-down-the-toilet look was extremely serious. Sitting down the gray countertop, she narrated her epic saga.
"Are you in love with him?" Jhanvi quizzed immediately.
"I don't think so." Amrita shrugged, tossing another salted chip into her mouth. "it's just a crush."
"But shouldn't you respond?" Jhanvi edged once more, Amrita reluctantly took the phone into her hand. Her greased hand at her side, forcing her to use her left one.
Then, by an accidental click, she pressed the call button.
KL Rahul Picked Up The Phone.
