Chapter 1: Friends from the past

It was a Sunday morning, and a young boy named Keith was just playing on the playground with a bunch of other kids. Although there was one that stood out from the rest. He had orange hair, a green sweater, and peach-colored pants. His name was Pico. In Pico's hand was a water gun filled with water, he was playing with a few other kids until their parents had to pick them up and take them home, it was sad that he was alone. Maybe if he had a friend like his age then he won't be so alone.

( kid Keith's Pov)

It was a Sunday morning and I was playing with the other kids at the playground until I saw someone that was all alone. He had what looked like a water gun in his hands. Maybe he and I could be friends so that he wouldn't be alone anymore. I walked up to him and asked if we could be friends because he looked so lonely and sad. In a few minutes, he said yes that we could be friends. This was going to be the best thing that happened to us. We will become the best of best friends!

Not long after that came the school shooting and Keith was just hiding in one of the lockers trying hard not to be found and not wanting to die at any second. Suddenly his hiding place was compromised and he was dragged out from his hiding place, as scared as he was, Keith closed both eyes and held his hand above his chest, crying out tears, and pleading for whoever was there to kill him to let him go and he won't tell anyone of what had happened. Although the person was about to kill him a gunshot right through their chest and then they fell onto the ground lying in a pool of blood. Keith however, was fine, he opened his eyes to see it was none other than his best friend Pico was there kneeling in front of him covered in blood.

The odds were not so great, Keith however ran towards Pico trying to help him up to his feet. Right then and there Pico looked up and saw Keith was right there next to him. After an hour of surviving a school shooting and finally free from the school far away, by passing a few streets by a mile or two.

Pico and Keith were both happy to be free and safe, but suddenly a small grunt came from the other in pain, Keith looked over and noticed that the small grunt was coming from Pico. He looked as if he was injured or something.

( Teen Keith POV )

I looked over to my best friend Pico was grunting, by that sound he looked as if he was injured or something. I'm not sure but if anything to him keeps being my best friend, I will help him. But first, we need to find a safe place to hide from anyone who might've followed us out of school after the shooting.

Meanwhile, after both Keith and Pico were walking to Keith's house and got inside. Pico was still grunting as if he were hurt during or at least trying to survive the shooting at the school. 

Keith: "Yo Pico you good bro, you've been non-stop grunting as if you got hurt at the school shooting? "

Pico was a bit surprised by the concerned look on Keith's face and did blush a bit, but not visible enough for Keith to see.

Pico: "Y-yea just a bit weak from all of the constant fighting and the bullets were dropping as if they only sounded like the clashing of guns. But on the other hand, I'm fine bro."

Later at night Pico decided to take a shower and head back to bed for the night. While Keith was already in bed asleep. As soon as the morning came up, both Keith and Pico woke up, ate breakfast, got dressed for the day, and headed outside.

Four years later, Keith was going to a rap battle against the demon Daddy Dearest, and soon the whole battle continued with many obstacles made by Daddy Dearest to keep Keith from dating Cherry/ GF. But Keith hopes to see Pico one more time before his relationship with Cherry/GF is sealed.

As for Pico, he was stuck being a gunman working for the demon Daddy Dearest. Hope to see Keith one more time before things get worse.

But what they both didn't realize was that they would soon cross paths and have to fight... sooner than later.
