"hyunjin your water bot-" the three friends flinched at the loud resonant smash of firm knuckles clashing onto the metallic locker.

the trio abruptly turned around to see the horrifying sight of a furious looking jisung whose fierce gaze examined his fisted knuckles.

the boy's enraged stare slowly glided up to face the almost shivering youngers who got chills down their spines just at the sight of the elder's flaring glare.

"what is going on?" he asked in a calm yet vexed voice, shutting his eyes to pacify his nerves that gushed with boiling blood.

"j-jisung i-it... i...jisu-" "I ASKED WHAT IS GOING ON?!" seungmin winced at the unexpected sudden raise in voice.

the young boy gulped; his eyes locked at the floor. he tried using his time to wisely choose the words to be spilled out of his mouth such that they make sense, sound accurate and don't anger the elder even more, though the fifteen year old's brain seemed to have stopped working in the dreaded, timeless moment.

he let out a deep breath, preparing himself to speak.

"h-he is my f-friend-" seungmin stuttered out.

seeing jisung getting even more confused and thus, angered, he quickly rushed towards the elder hugging him and adding, "please forgive him. i already forgave him. he wasn't wrong. it was the type of company he had." seungmin said in one go, not sparing time for the elder to interrupt him, which seungmin knew jisung would, if given the time to do so.

jisung's face slightly softened at his brother's quivering state, though anger continued to thickly flow through his veins.

he pulled away to look into seungmin's eyes. "how can you be so sure that he's not gonna hurt you and this isn't some stupid plan of his? why would he suddenly befriend the guy he was bullying a few days back?"

"jisung... uhm... i..." seungmin's gaze fell to the floor as he nervously rubbed his nape. "i actually lashed out on him in front of the class and so my stupid classmates abandoned him just like they always do... just like they did to... me..." the boy's voice trailed off. "those two-faced hypocrites." seungmin mumbled the last few words through clenched teeth.

"i found hyunjin crying the other day because of how everyone abandoned him. he has always been surrounded by people, followed around by people. so, for him, it was really painful. almost all his friends left him." "and what about it? are you by any chance, feeling sympathetic towards your bully? jisung stressed the last word glaring at hyunjin who kept looking at the floor.

"no i-" "no what? do you still like him?! i can't belive this-" jisung said shaking his head but got cut off by his brother. "jisung let me finish, first? please?" seungmin pleaded.

jisung sighed and the younger took it as sign for him to continue. "he apologized for everything and his apology sounded genuine." jisung scoffed, looking around in disbelief. "genuine, my foot. since when are you so naive, seungmin?"

"i-i am not" "yeah whatever!" jisung shrugged still not letting his eyes meet his brother's.

"trust me, he felt sorry for everything he said. he did everything to impress people, who in turn, left him. he has realised his mistake. he has learnt his lesson, jisung."

"jisung, i am genuinely sorry. from the bottom of my heart. i am guilty for everything i said or did. even the punch, i know i deserved it. i understand if you don't want to forgive me because what i did was very wrong. i did stuff i should've never done. i am really sorry. you can even punish me if you want, i am ready for it. i am right here," hyunjin said in an eager voice.

seungmin knew jisung wasn't buying it so he turned to him and pleaded, "please jisung. forgive him. these two are the only friends i have."

"you really wanna be hurt, right? then go! go with this asshole!" jisung blurted out making areum, who stood quietly until now, to rush into his direction and grab his collar.

she pulled him closer. "you won't shut up, would you?" the girl slowly let go of his collar staring into the taller's eyes before adding, "okay then, let's keep it this way. you say one more word against him and i'll beat your ass and if he does anything to seungmin, you get to do whatever you want with him."

she raised her brow, getting slightly nervous, though still maintaining her tough and bold facade as jisung started leaning down, close to her face.

"aww baby~ so you are gonna beat my ass, huh?" "you doubt it?" the girl asked in her usual confident tone with a straight face. "uhm... kinda do~" jisung said and chuckled.

"well, show time i guess, kids~" areum said winking at her friends before seungmin interrupted jisung and areum. "okay, stop. jisung come. let's go home, okay? i promise to explain everything at home." he said to his brother before turning to his friends and waving them a goodbye.

"okay, listen." seungmin sighed heavily. "please give him a chance?" jisung rolled his eyes.

"what are you guys even quarrelling about?" minho asked as he walked into the living room, taking a seat on the couch, next to his two sons.

"papa, there is this guy who treated him badly but now seungmo is befriending him." jisung shook his head.

minho nodded before saying out his brilliant idea. "how about this..." he turned to seungmin. "you guys becomes friends and see if it works and if he does something, you call him home for dinner and we feed him my world famous tissues before shoving him into the air fryer for 20 minutes at 180 degrees." he said, nonchalantly.

"this is why i love you haha," jisung chuckled.

"but seriously speaking, you can do whatever you want till you are sure you don't get hurt. also, i still don't approve of him. i still haven't forgiven him." jisung said once minho left. seungmin nodded.

"besides, i am more angry with you. you were hiding everything from me. you know, it hurts to know that your own brother doesn't trust you with telling you stuff." jisung's expression saddened making seungmin to instantly turn towards him and cup his cheeks. "hey! it's not like that. i trust you jisung. a lot. never think like that again, okay?" the younger spoke in a sweet voice.

"i didn't tell you because i know that you just care too much. you care so much about me that you lose control when you get to know that someone has harmed me in any way. i didn't tell you because you would have gotten angry like you did today."

"yeah, yeah... whatever! and who said i care about you?" jisung scoffed, rolling his eyes, diverting his gaze from his brother's eyes, leaning back into the couch.

"sure you don't." seungmin chuckled shaking his head before sitting back, next to his brother.

"yeah." "yeah?" seungmin raised a brow, turning to face jisung, again. "yeah." jisung shrugged.

"oh really?" seungmin asked in a teasing tone. "of course, dumbass." jisung said with a blank face still not looking at the younger. seungmin leaned towards him asking, "you sure?" "very much." jisung smirked, finally facing the younger before seungmin's fingers found their way to jisung's tummy and started tickling the life out of the elder as seungmin mumbled, "of course, you don't. haha."

laughter filled the room.

"jisung cares so much about him, though he would never admit it," chan's breath brushed minho's neck as a muscular arm wrapped around the younger's waist.

the younger smiled, admiring the sight of his kids playing around while his husband's torso softly pressed against his back.

"just like you care so about me but would never say~" chan's voice fondled minho's ear.

"huh! i don't care about you." "yeah, sure~ whatever you say~" chan sang chuckling as the couple stood near the door to the living room, watching their kids get along so nicely.
