If I Could Turn Back Time

Chapter 1

"I can't do this anymore," Sean says as the smell of death permeates the air. "I can't...I just can't." He looks over the land that was once filled with bittersweet memories, is now filled with the dead bodies of the people he tried to save, littered on the ground.

           Memories flood in as he crumples to the ground in despair. Memories filled with the conversation his family said before they disowned him. Of course he remembers, how could he forget.

            It all started when the news reached his family. "Why did you have to save them?" Viktor said as he punched Sean, knocking him down to the floor. "Why?" "Tell me why!" Viktor screamed at Sean who was still on the floor clutching his face and clenching his fist.

            "They're the ones that helped us when the Lazaros invaded our home!" Sean looked at Viktor straight in the eyes, "They're the ones that retrieved the ashes of your parents! They're the ones that helped me retrieve you when you got caught and Doctor Lazaro was the one that treated us for three days with the risk of being found out and killed, so why can't I repay them?" Sean's chest heaved as the intensity of his shouting tires him.

            Viktor clenched his fist, "Do you know what they are saying about you?" "They're saying your building an army. Once they start believing that you're a traitor, they'll kill you!".

            "Do you think I don't know that?" Sean stood while looking down. "Of course I do! Everyone with the surname Lazaro will be killed!" Sean, with tears streaming down his face he says "Disown me then. Remove me from the family." He raises his head and meets his eyes, "Tell them I have nothing to do with you!".

            Viktor looks at Sean hard and he says, "Fine." then he turns to leave the place where Sean and the remnants stayed...
