The sun begins to set as Sean enters the battlefield and they all charge at him with varying weapons. Spear, lances, guns, swords, and all kinds of weapons we're aimed at him. He dodged them all and pierced them with his pocket knives, incapacitating them of any movement. He tosses their weapons out of their reach, while he dodges attacks aimed for him.
Bombs go off throughout the battlefield. 'I didn't plant explosives in the field, so who did it?' The thought didn't last as adrenaline rushes through his veins."Kill him!" they shout. The sounds of gunshots and screams fill his ears until it is all too much too loud. The static in his head intensifies further until he hears a call for his name. "Sean!" a girl with braids on her hair stands among the crowd is looking for him.
Sean moves away from the crowd to get a better look. He squints from the dust and fog that gathered itself. He recognizes her. How could he not. It was his sister. As the realization dawned unto him, he quickly tried to lose the crowd that was trying to kill him.
He quickly went to his sister and grabbed her gently away from the chaotic battlefield. They ran but a man from a different sect caught up and aimed for Sean and they stopped.
It was like the world slowed. Sean could feel his heartbeat, his pulse, his heavy breathing, the blood on his face and clothes, and the horror of seeing his beloved older sister, staggering and clenching her clothes. Why was she clenching her clothes? He looked at the red blots that's quickly soaking her lavender shirt.
All the blood from his face drained as he paled. Viktor was running towards them, as Eli falls forward and Viktor catching her. Sean turned around and snapped the man's neck in a split second. They were far from the crowd that's running towards them, but close to the edge of the cliff.Sean kneeled beside his older sister, "I'm sorry...", he says. Eli smiles. She cups his cheek and says with whatever little strength she had, "Sean, please stop the bombs. It's hurting everyone."
He holds her hand and tells her, "I can't." with tears trickling down his face. Viktor shouts at Sean, "How can't you not? Aren't you the one who installed them?". Sean wants to say something but he can't find the strength to and at that moment Eli smiled at both of them and she died.
The crowd is closing in on him. Sean doesn't want to do anything anymore. He stands up while he hears, the screams of bloody murder from his own brother. The remnants are gone, his son is dead, and so is his sister.
He can't take it anymore. He walks and limps as he is cornered to the edge of the cliff. The crowd is silent, and so are the bodies laying around. Laughter bubbles inside of him as devastation eats him away. He laughs and he laughs brokenly while tears continuously streams down his face.
"I'm sorry. If only I could turn back time I would." Sean whispers to himself, a silent message to those he couldn't protect.Sean looks at the crowd and sees her. He sees her. He spreads out his arms as wide as he can and looks at her in the eyes while smiling sadly, "Won't you come with me?". She runs past the crowd. Her family calling her name and the world tilts as he falls with her.
END.

If I Could Turn Back Time
Short StoryAn original inspired by the thought of the pains of loss, broken relationships and a movie that I won't mention. It's a short story that's not that good. I know because I've read a lot of stories. I made this for my output in English. I am very amat...
