"Every single one you do. I sit in the back and I'm quiet, so nobody really notices me. Even the teacher. You stand out quite a bit though. Standards because of tardiness in English, Essay for History because of gum, drawing during Math, and talking back to Mr. Jones!"
"I know, I get it." I said, smiling at the thought.

My new friend was actually really nice. She went to lunch with me in the cafeteria and helped me through the classes.
When I got to last class however, she shied away. She had every reason to though.
She doesn't want to be hanging around with the bad girl in the class.
She told me how everyone was whispering about dirty rumors between me and Jake. They were right of course, but I forgave Melissa for not wanting to be in the middle of it.
I decided I'd do something about the rumors. Either I'd make them true, or I'd display hate towards Jake so that they thought I was the kind of girl that didn't let anyone touch her.
I went for the latter, deciding that it went with what happened the yesterday when I talked back to him.
"Good morning class." He said politely.
There were murmurs of response.
I put an angry look on my face and stared out to the woods.
"We'll be going for a hike today." He announced.
Everyone groaned.
"Pair up." He said.
And everyone cheered, going for their friends.
Lucky for him, there was an odd number of students.
Melissa went with another girl, whispering "sorry" as she started off towards the woods. I winked at her, telling her it was okay, and she nodded.
"Miss Camp. You'll be with me again today it seems."
"So it seems." I said angrily stomping off.
I was glad that everyone saw me mad at him.
The class started off into the woods, Jake and I trailing.
"What's wrong?" He whispered as he caught up to me.
"We don't want anyone to know about us, right?" I asked.
"No we don't." He said, still a little confused about my behavior.
"So...everyone's starting rumors about us...together. I stopped that by being mad at you."
"Oh." He said. "So...you aren't mad at me."
"No. I could only be mad at you if you decided to leave me." I gave a solemn smile at the sad thought.
"I would never." He said.
The class was out of sight and earshot.
Taking me in his arms, he kissed me passionately.
