"Attention Dream Myers and George Davidson currently resided with Jschlatt in the Middleground.

This is the Almighty Judge on High of All Beings, Living and Dead, for all Eternity. My name is Darryl. We've figured out that you went to the Middleground, and needless to say, are not pleased. The Above has discovered that Dream Myers, said to be Tenibris and property of the Above, is actually the rightful property of the Below and was meant to be all along.

As for George Davidson, he has now aided and abetted a criminal, and now is also rightful property of the Below.

Either return to your neighborhood in the Above and be taken to the Below where you belong, or your friends by the names of Sapnap and Karl will be taken in your place. Either way, the Below is owed two people.

You have four hours.

- The Almighty Judge on High of All Beings, Living and Dead, for all Eternity, Darryl."

"They're going to take Sapnap and Karl to the Below?" Dream said jokingly, "That's amazing! We're off the hook!"

George smacked Clay hard in the arm, grounding him back to the bitter reality of it all.

"Sapnap and Karl?" George breathed panically, pacing back and forth in the kitchen. Schlatt read the note again and shrugged.

"They've been my only friends for years, Cl-Dream, we have to go back," George pleaded, making his way over to Dream, "I owe everything to Sapnap, and Karl's a good friend of ours, I can't see them tortured, please-"

Dream lifted his mask up a bit to show his lips, careful not to expose his face to Schlatt, and took both of George's hands in his own, bringing them both up to his lips and soothingly kissing the shaking worry from them.

"They're not going to the Below, and neither are you. Just I am."

"You read the letter, the Below's owed two people. I'll go with you. I have to."

"I'll talk to Wilbur, we'll be okay, I promise. I won't let them hurt you. Call the train, we're going back to the Above."

"Okay, but what about you? I can't have you tortured either, Dream-"

"I'll be fine. I'll be where I belong, where I'm supposed to be."

George shook his head back and forth rapidly. The hurt in his trembling voice cut into Dream's stomach and bled out. He wanted to hold him, calm his nerves with his touch. But he couldn't. He couldn't get George attached and then leave him. He almost did that before and it didn't end well. Clearly.

Dream let go of George's hands and walked over to Schlatt's side table, taking a cigarette out of a pack and putting it in his mouth.

"You got a light?" He asked Schlatt.

Schlatt threw him a yellow lighter and narrowed his eyes. "You're actually giving in? You're going to the Below?"
