As Sinon walked out of the small, welcoming cabin, she couldn't help but feel, selfish. Did she honestly just lie to Yui's face and tell her Asuna's coming back? All she did was give Yui false hope. She remembered as she walked down the dirt path Yui's face. Her usual esstatic expression was replaced with stress and desperation. All she could do was lie and tell her it would be okay. Could? More like would. Sinon knew she wasn't in the right here, and the more she thought about what she had done, it killed her. Finally coming to her senses, she mustered up the courage to return to the small cabin, and tell Yui the truth. Walking back was the longest walk of her life. For Shino had been contemplating what to say, what not to say, how to say it... As she neared the small, inviting cabin, it didn't seem the same. The old cute cabin in the woods looked more like a haunted house. Shino knocked on the door and trembled furiously. "This is insane!" She thought. "Why the HELL would I come back here?!" Shino screamed at herself for setting herself up for disaster. Just as the Cait Saith thought about leaving, the tall wooden door opened. "S-Sinon-chan?" A small voice called out "H-hi Yui! Mind if I come back inside?" Shino casually said "E-erm.. sure?" Yui invited Sinon back into the house and closed the door behind her. "Whatcha wanna talk about? Si-non-Chan?" Hearing Yui's cute, cheerful voice only made Asada feel like utter crap. She had been dreadful and sad before she told her about the false information. Shino had finally caught on. Yui's happy that she heard Asuna is still coming back. Just to be sure, she had asked Yui herself. "What's gotten you all excited Yui-chan?" "I'm excited that Mama's coming back! I just can't wait to tell her all about my adventures with you and Papa!" "Y-yeah. About that, Yui-chan." "Hm?" "Asuna-chan is-" "Asuna is what?" Shino startled at the sudden third voice in the room. "K-kirito-kun! W-w-when did you get here?!" Shino said blushing and confused. "I thought I'd get on early to say hi to Yui. Seems like you had the same idea. Anyway, what was that you were talking about earlier? He asked "N-nothing. Nothing at all." "Alright, if that's the case, let's head on out." "B-but we haven't even gathered supplies!" Shino exclaimed "Don't worry, I got it." Kirito said, pulling several potions out of his jacket. "Alright Yui, we'll be right back. Cya later." "Bye Papa! Bye Sinon-san!!" Yui screamed as the two walked down the trail. "Hey Shino-san..." "Yes Kazuto-kun?" "...would you mind..." "Mind what?" "Mind not telling Yui about Asuna..?" "W - what? " Shino said, shocked at what the pixie's father had said. "She deserves to know! It's been months Kazuto!" "I know.." "Then why don't y-" Shino was caught off by Kirito's silence. Looking down at the floor, as if he'd seen something there, Not able to see his face, Shino reached out to Kazuto grasping his face with both her hands, forcing the two to make eye contact. She had then realized that he was crying. Without hesitation, she brought him in for a hug. No longer willing to venture on, the two settled down under a tree, Shino, stil comforting Kirito fell asleep under the tree. Kirito looked around for a moment. This scene looked very familiar to him. Waking up next to a beautiful girl under a tree in a field seemed almost like deja vu. Kirito lied back down, smiling. The two never went on a misssion that night.
