Life at CIA wasn't exactly a piece of cake but Bella got used to it, so much that, ironically, she still had a knot in her stomach when her boss called. She tucked her hands beneath her thighs, to disguise the agressive tremble in them. The director was sorting through some paperwork, but looked at her pointedly above his glasses. His face softened only the slightest to see Bella's distress.

"I believe you have heard of mutants," he drawled, and even though it wasn't a question, she nodded stiffly, hoping it wasn't the day he found out. "Turns out Agent MacTaggert is bringing them here, in the hopes those freaks would help us track Shaw."

Bella gritted her teeth but proceeded to somehow force out the words "What's my job here, sir?"

"I need you to keep an eye on them, Anders." his voice quieted only a tad before saying "One of them raised a submarine. Get his file and make sure he doesn't pull any similar stunts."

Bella forced a smile, waiting to be dismissed. That was all the director wanted to tell her, because soon enough he returned to the paperwork from before. Bella stood and bowed her head before leaving.

As soon as the door closed, she quickened her steps, thoughts racing faster than she could comprehend. This could all be an act to unmask her identity, hand her over to La tête on a silver platter. She swore never to return, even if it meant a death by her own hands.

Bella then went to the office on the second floor, asking for three files, and one in addition, for her private research. The secretary handed them to her but not before making the agent promise she would return them before the end of the week.

She then headed to where she would find the person in the fourth file. The lab was a mess, tool scattered around the prototype of a jet, Hank was sitting on the floor, notebook in hand and his face slightly stained with ink.

"Hey brains" said Bella, settling beside the scientist. She stacked the files on top of his notebook, to which Hank frowned.

"What's all this fuss about?"

"There was an accident a few days back with mutants. They're coming here today." She picked through the folders, fishing out the one with his name on it "These are about them, and you."

Hank took the file inspecting it thoroughly like he always did. He flipped through the pages and when he found nothing out of the ordinary, he sighed in relief.

"Told you it wasn't there" he said.

Bella shrugged "Better safe than sorry."

She opened the folder on the top of the pile, scanning the picture and informations. Erik Magnus Lehnsherr, 1930, Germany. He was listed agressive and capable of killing. Her eyes were trained on one word. Auschwitz.
