Nancy and Jake met as youngsters in the fourth grade. At a time when dreamers dreamed of all to be in life. Nancy being a free spirit enjoyed flowing in the gutsful breeze of life. Often, times she'd talked to Jake about her dreams of wanting to have a big family. To the point she would get lost in the thought of what her children would look like, be like. The names she would call them by, the meaning behind each so carefully picked out.
Jake being her beloved friend kept his ear ready at a moment's call to pick up all emotions and feelings held to her voice. The two often got lost in conversation as they laid on the grass looking up to the sky. Expressing to one another all their hopes and dreams, yet she was excitedly surprised this day to hear Jake also shared this dream.
He came from a small, however close net family. His Father's travels kept the family relocating so rapidly he never settled in any home long enough to build any relationships. Between his Father's travels worldwide and his Mother working so late most nights to the point they only saw each other in passing. He spent most of his time being left to feel the heaviness of his loneliness.
As a result of that loneliness, he wanted to have the biggest family possible. Most days he sat in his room wishing he had a brother or at least a kid sister who would get on his nerves following him, breaking his toys.
When he and Nancy would meet in their favorite spot, she'd tell him how her siblings would always annoy. How they would come in her room just to bother. While she complained to him how the annoyance would get under her skin, it was this annoyance he heard of and he missed.
Although Jake had not a sibling and spent most of his time echoing the sounds of quietness. As a kid he tried to be a lone, yet Nancy would not allow for that. She saw through to him and he to her.
The time would come to which they express to one another deeper feelings. It was in high school where the attraction grew. One day...(hope you have enjoyed this sample read😊)
