Denki POV:

Flashback

Denki! Come here baby!

My mom called.

This is your big cousin y/n! She'll be staying with us for a while. This is aunty m/n (moms name) and uncle d/n (dads name).

Hewo!

I waved at the girl.

I was 5. I remember meeting her for the first time at a family reunion. Her family lived in a different part of Japan. I found out y/n was born in America. Her mom is European and her dad is African American. Her moms brother married my dads younger sister. So i don't think we're first cousins. But that didn't matter.

Hi.

She replied shyly.

Mommy! Mommy! Why does she have that stuff on her eyes!

I remember asking.

Oh baby don't be rude. How about you ask her yourself?

My mom said, patting my head and walking away, leaving me and y/n alone.

How old are you?

She asked.

5!

I said holding up my hand.

Oh I'm 8.

She smiled.

Woah! No wonder you're so big! Hey. Can you see me?

I asked, doing a funny dance.

Yeah.

She stated.

Huh? How?

I asked confused.

Well.....

She started.

End of flashback

She has a condition that makes her eyes incredibly sensitive to light. Her eyes are obviously really light and pale in color, so that lack of pigment somehow causes her eyes to take a lotta damage when it's bright out.

Wait but what does that have to do with her quirk?

Sero asked.

Shhhhhhh. I'm getting there.

I shushed putting my finger on his lips.

Her quirk is really unique. It's weird though because neither of her parents have quirks. The doctor said it must've skipped a generation or something.

I said, clearly surprising the others.

But she was one of the only people I know who got their quirk before turning 4. When I was 5 she told me that one say she was mad over something because she was just a baby. And she didn't want to be held. So when her dad tried to pick her up she reacted so quickly that it surprised both of them. She had dodged him completely and knocked him over.
