Y/n POV
*At the time of the flashback y/n is 20 and one is 14*
flashback
Zero! One called.
Don't talk to me till you're finished! I called back.
Im done I'm done. I swear! He laughed.
He chased me down the hall. I told him we couldn't train until he finished his homework. One's been training with me for a few months. And I have to say I'm starting to have a soft spot for him. He's like a puppy that loves killing. He's constantly asking to spar and for help working on upping his tele-count. (Amount of times he can teleport in a minute)
Come on then! We've got an hour before I have to leave for a mission. I yelled to him.
He teleported next to me. Instead of running the rest of the way. He then jumped on my back and teleported us to the training room.
We sparred for 30 minutes before I got a call from the commissioner for both of us to come to his office.
What? But I thought we had an hour. He whined.
I know I know. But if the commissioner wants to see you that's gotta mean something. I shrugged.
I patted his head and ruffled his hair as we walked down the hall.
Hey can't I just- He started.
No. You know the rules. No quirks in the hallways. I cut him off.
Awe! He pouted.
Suddenly the alarms in the training complex went off and the lights started flashing. The blaring sirens kept saying it was a code X. Meaning there was a break in. I looked at One and nodded. Giving him permission to teleport.
Main hall. I commanded.
Got it. He replied.
The main hall was silent. It was usually busy with people coming in and out of the complex. It even opened up into the dining hall and next to it were the dorms. But it was vacant. No people no nothing. The large doors that led to outside were wide open. I signaled to One to stay quiet. I walked silently closer towards the door. One right behind me.
Bz
Instantly I jumped back. Signaling to One to hide. Regardless of him being number one of Alpha. He was nowhere near close to being a level one assassin. I could tell he teleported to the hall that sat perpendicular to the door. So he was out of sight.
Suddenly the lights went off and the sirens went dead.
~someone cut the power.
I took off my eye cover and pulled it down to my neck.
