The day started off great, random people show up and Hunter leaves.

"Beth!" I whistled but Beth didn't come. "Beth come here girl!"

Still nothing just great. I decided to grab a glass of sweet tea and sit on the front porch until Beth came back. Every once in a while I would whistle and call her name. Around six o clock I just gave up, I stood where I was sitting all day and called Beth one more time.

"Beth come home girl!" I sighed and walked back inside. Soon after I heard scratching on the door along with whining.

"Thank god." I walked to the door and peaked out hoping it was Beth. So be it was Beth and what looked like a black German Shepard but bigger. Beth seemed to trust the massive dog so I slowly opened the door and Beth ran in

. "Hey there bud, thank you for bringing Beth home. I very much apricate it, I have been calling her name for a while now and just gave up." The dog almost looked like he bowed,

"Huh, wait here I bet you are hungry." I closed the door and jogged to the fridge, I found a raw steak so I decided to just pay Hunter back later and tell him I cooked it. I went back to the door and surprisingly the dog was still there.

"Here you go bud." I kneeled down and slowly reached out with the steak. He gently took it, immediately scarfing it down then he whined and took off at a full run down the driveway. I stood back up suddenly feeling so alone. Beth came up behind me and licked my leg so I patted her head and closed and locked the doors. I checked the windows and every other entrance to the place and once I felt a little safe I went upstairs. I didn't realize that I passed my room and went into Hunter's until I was naked under the covers with Beth by my side in bed.

"What the fuck am I doing Beth?" She was fast asleep snoring, Hunter wouldn't mind if he doesn't know.

My sleep was interrupted to someone walking up the stairs and Beth jumping off the bed to see who was there.

"Beth! Beth! Get back here!" I whispered, she ignored me but she was excited. I froze where I lay waiting for my sudden demise. I heard a door open and close, and more footsteps coming my way. I stayed perfectly still and even held my breath. The steps ended at the doorway, I closed my eyes so I didn't see who it was.

"Riley what are you doing in my bed." I let out a large sigh as I recognized the voice was Hunter.

"Holy shit I thought you was someone else coming to kill me or something!" I threw the blanket over my head and caught my breath.

"Someone breaks into my house and tries to kill you?" I could hear the smirk on his face then what I thought was Beth jump on the bed and standing over me wasn't. There was a low whisper that I could barely make out, "I think you are paranoid." One moment my face was covered by the blanket and the next I was looking at his face.
