Chapter 10

(Nikki's POV)

I was heartbroken after I found out that my parents were getting divorced. I obviously went to y/n's house. Y/n let me stay at her house these past few months until I found a place of my own. Y/n was my best friend whenever I was sad she would immediately come and cheer me up, Y'm and I were really close. I was the only one besides tom and y/n that knew about them too (Y/n texted Nikki about it, so that's how she knows).

I let myself in the house and started sobbing on her couch. I was super sad, I eventually heard the front door open and lifted my head from off my hands.

y- Nicole? What are you doing here?

n- I- I- I um I need to talk to you...

I had puffy eyes and tears falling down my cheeks. 

y- Nicole what happened?

n- Um my parents were fighting the other day and I didn't think much of it, but I found out earlier that they are getting divorced.

y- O- oh my g-god nicole I'm so sorry...

n- It's ok It's not your fault I just needed you.

y- It's ok nicole, I'm here now.

I put my head on her shoulder and soon fell asleep. 

*The next morning*

I eventually woke up pretty early and decided to start my day off. I woke up and made some breakfast and then went to text my parents I'm coming home.

*Texting*

n-Hey mom

m-Are you alright?

n- Yeah I just want to say sorry for barging out

m- No, No it's ok

n- Ok thanks

m- I want to say that you can pick who you want to be with...

n- Is it ok if I just stay with y/n and when I find an apt I can visit you guys?

m- Yes of course

n- ok, Thanks!

m- I'm going to add dad to the group chat

n- ok

d- Hey princess

n- Hey dad

m- Hey

n- So dad is it ok if I stay with y/n and then come visit you guys when I find an apt soon?

d- Yes, Of course!

m- :)

n- Ok, thanks! Love you guys!

m- Love you honey!

d- Love you princess!

n- Cya

*Off text*

I put my phone in my pocket and left a note on the kitchen counter letting know y/n I left. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, so I just went to get breakfast and look for some apartments. I was really lucky to have y/n as my best friend. I thought she would leave soon enough, But she's still here, So yay.
