Us Four Till the End - BokuakaKuroken

Prequel

This is going to be like a long one-shot that does not necessarily connect to the story but I thought it would be nice for you guys to know how they got together. Sorry for any mistakes in advance ♡

"Ku, please, move over," Akaashi says to Kuroo who was laying on his shoulder. His hair kept tickling Keiji's face.

"But you're so comfy," Kuroo pouts and looks up at Akaashi with big eyes, "And Kenma and Bo won't let me cuddle with them."

Akaashi sighs and decides to let the older boy be. He knew Kuroo would feel lonely since Bokuto and Kenma were on the couch next to them cuddling; with Kenma being the little spoon. 

The four of them had gotten really close throughout the years. They had gone through a lot of important stages in each other's life and were always there for one another. They all found comfort when they were together so it had become normal if they held hands, cuddled, or sometimes even kissed; it took Akaashi and Kenma more time to be comfortable doing anything of that sort. They all had this love and affection towards one another that they couldn't quite understand. Even though it scared them not knowing what it was they were feeling towards one another, they never rejected their feelings. 

The four had been invited to Tendō's house for a get-together. Not everyone they were friends with during high school were able to come. Everyone had careers and lives that kept them busy so it was rare to get everyone together. Usually, it was always random who came and who didn't. 

Sugawara had recently gotten married to a kindergarten teacher who works with him at the elementary school he works at. They were still on their honeymoon so he apologized for not being able to make it. Asahi and Noya were somewhere in Europe. Asahi was traveling to get some fashion inspiration and Noya was tagging along for the adventures; they promised their next stop was Japan. Tanaka and Kiyoko were busy with putting together various workout plans for Tanaka's customers. The rest of their friends from the various volleyball teams they had encountered throughout their high school years were busy with work and their own families. Some of them were married and even had kids. For this get-together, the ones who were able to make it -- apart from the Akaashi, Kenma, Kuroo, and Bokuto -- were Daichi, Tsukishima, Yamaguchi, Kageyama, Hinata, Ushijima, Tendō, Oikawa, Iwaizumi, Sakusa, and Atsumu. 

They played volleyball for most of the day, even playing volleyball in the pool when it got really hot outside. They had a big dinner and decided to end the night watching a movie. They had decided on 'World War Z' because Oikawa is convinced a zombie apocalypse is happening soon so he wants to be "prepared" for it.

Akaashi felt his phone vibrate mid-movie, signaling he had gotten a notification. He reached down to his pocket and took out his phone, seeing Kuroo had sent him an attachment. He looks over to the older boy who still had his head on Akaashi's shoulder. Kuroo nudged Akaashi's shoulder as if to say to go open the message and Akaashi did as he implied. He clicked on the notification to find a picture of Bokuto and Kenma cuddled up on the couch with a text saying, 'They look cute together.'  Akaashi smiles and texts back, 'Mhm they do. We should all cuddle when we get home.'. As soon as Kuroo reads the text he nods excitedly and wraps his arms around Akaashi's waist with Akaashi doing the same, bringing Kuroo closer to him.

"Maybe I should inject myself with a deadly illness so zombies will avoid me how they are doing with that boy," Oikawa is sitting front and center of the TV  in between Iwaizumi's legs, popcorn scattered all around them from all the times Oikawa got scared from a jump scare in the movie.

"But what happens if the zombies in real life aren't like the ones in this movie?" Hinata asks. He's laying down on the couch to the right of Oikawa cuddling with Kayegama under a blanket.
